    Morning all! Wow…I actually made it to check-in today…gotta do better with that. I am back on atkins after “quitting” for a few days…really just added in all rungs at once. Yup…not recommended! I am still up to the fruit rung by my way of cheating but if no loss by Sunday then it is right back down to the veggie rung for me. I just keep getting frustrated with my last stubborn 8 – 10 pounds and trying different stuff. I am still doing my slim in 6 workout and it is kicking my butt! This is week 4 and I am not looking forward to an hour of lunges, crunches, squats and pushups.



    Now…I just re-read my post and thought about the “theme” of this check-in and felt really ungrateful. I should be thankful that I am down to my last 10 pounds to lose…grateful that I am able to do lunges, crunches, squats and pushups in the first place…thankful I found this great site with all you wonderful people to support me…and most of all thankful that I have been blessed with another day!

          Hi again,
          MorningGlory: The first quilt I made I hand quilted... took 5 years to finish!
          Now I do Machine quilting... I love it! For me it gets my mind off my problems and the problems of my patients/work which I tend to carry around with me. The groups I quilt with are also pediatric nurses... one group is the ICU nurses and the other is the ER nurses. It's a safe place for us to laugh, cry, sew, talk, whatever!
          Plus it's just so satisfying! I love it!

              That's awesome...quilting with a group of people is so much fun, and sooo therapeutic. It's amazing how the conversation flows when everyone's hands are busy! I bet that's something that all of you really look foward to.

                          Good topic! It is so easy to get caught up in the everyday and forget about the grander scheme. Thanks for being such a huge support!

                          Last night I made this most awesome recipe by Pau (ADBB Member from Spain). They are crustless quiche/cheescake things...creamcheese, bacon, shredded cheese (I chose jalapeno jack), eggs, spices and heavy cream..which i totally forgot to put in. I made them in a mini-muffin pan and they came out almost like a yorkshire pudding! They are AWESOME ..even if i didn't add the cream (lower carb count anyway)!! I would have totally eaten them pre-atkins ..they are that good!

                          Going camping in the mountains this weekend..have a great one!!

                            Goodmorning guys! Nice. Count your blessings.

                            I count whatever blessing it was that my mom picked up a DANDR book that fateful Christmas long ago, and how much she had encouraged me to lose my weight. It feels so good to know that I'm losing weight and that I'm looking better every day. I'm thankful for my willpower to stay on this diet!

                              hi everyone...i am on my way to work but wanted to check in and say howdy. congrats to you joy for reaching goal! how exciting for you...and inspiring for me! i am well on my way to making my water goal for the day so i am pleased...i had a conversation this morning with a friend of mine and we were talking about remembering the good and not dwelling on the bad...to me this is the same topic we are talking about this morning. being grateful and thankful. i am grateful and thankful for all of you here on this board, helping me make it through all the struggles that come with losing weight for me...i hope everyone has a great friday!
