This is my second go-around with Atkins. When I did it before, with my husband, I started at 250, and got down to 235, where I stayed at for a long time. Then we went on our favorite vacation (cruising) and I jump full bore into the eating of absolutely everything I could get my hands on. This was about 2 years ago. Since then I have gotten up to 277, my highest weight ever, and hopefully my highest weight ever ever. I bought the Atkins Nutritional Approach CDs for my car and I find that listening to them helps me alot on my hour long journey into work everyday, especially when McDonalds seems to be calling my name. Also helps on the way home, when a milkshake sounds SOOOO good.
My husband has been on a lowercarb diet the whole time, but can eat a whole lot of more carbs than i can, so he is supportive, but I won't be at his level of eating carbs for a long time, if ever. I am definitely a carbohydrate junkie.
I'm going strong after 4 days, but do feel tired, which I see from the boards isn't unusual. I would like to find a mentor and don't know how to go about it.
