Re: Monday Morning Rolling call, 6/25
I am so sorry for the losses that have befallen our friends. My sympathies are with you.
I feel like I had a pretty good weekend. I didn't eat any real illegal foods, but looking back I think I ate a little too much deli meat/pepperoni. I stuck to my 2 L of water a day -- even had my last one at 9 PM last night and was up almost all night -- but for some reason I am not looking forward to the scale.
Here's a STRANGE craving I had yesterday at the supermarket: MILK! I don't think I have ever wanted milk as much as I did yesterday! My cravings for sweets are decreasing. And I know what taking in sugar will do to me. I will never forget the Thanksgiving when I was on OWL, and I had a bunch of desserts at my aunt's house. We had to stop at every Starbucks on the way home (the only place besides a gas station that was open) for me to use the restroom. I was so incredibly sick that I think about that evening EVERY time I want a sweet. Is the five seconds of pleasure worth fifteen minutes in the bathroom? I think not!
So happy Monday, everyone, if there is such a thing. My best friend is coming in for a week this evening, and I am so excited!
OH! Another really good friend is having a baby next week - we expect! Any ideas on Induction-friendly foods I can make to bring to her that we can share?
