  • Friday Morning Roll Call

    Well, I woke up feeling great, hopped on the scale, and I am down another pound!!

    I am so thrilled! After having a very slow month, it looks likes things are moving again! So glad I have stuck with it!

    Looking forward to working in the garden this weekend...have some flank steak marinating for fajitas tonight...yum!

    Good Morning... YAY on being down in weight I keep bouncing around in the same pounds...eventually the scale will move here...lol

    On a good note I did have a teacher yesterday for my water aerobics class she is back from vacation.

    Its pick up my daughter day I am so happy...lol Her boyfriend wants her to go to Japan for a month in a year or so.. I don't think I am going to let her go.. I can't make it through a week..lol

    Went to see Live Free Die Hard yesterday with Bruce Willis.. It was good

      Good morning everybody! Last night's gig was heaven. It was great to hear a roar of applause again. Normally I play in restaurants indoors, solo, last night, the gods were with me, after and entire day of downpours, it stopped raining, the sun came out, the sky turned blue, and we had a wonderful time. Must have been almost 250 - 300 people there last night, and most of them stayed the entire 3 hours. To say the least, they were very very receptive. I played with my brother, and a drummer, first time in ages. Looks like more of these gigs are in the works.

      A co-worker heard about the show, and the weather and told me this, something her 13 year old granddaughter said, and I need to live by this,

      Grandma, everyday you wake up, something wonderful is going happen!!

      Think about that for a minute. Sometimes you really have to soul search and reach deep within yourself to find that one thing, but it's there. Heck it may something as simple as a smile on the street corner from a stranger, my wonderful was no rain last night.

      My wonderful today, is sharing with you fine folks! Thanks for being friends!

          Yay, for the 1lb!. I'm a bouncer too Sandy. I've been working out so much and I haven't seen a dramatic loss. That's ok. All I have to do is to keep my mind focused and the physical will come.

          Scooterpoo, I'm so glad that your gig went well. What
          an awesome thought. I was having a rough morning dealing with my expenses and other stuff and you brought my world back into perspective.

          My wonderful today, was your message.

            Man you can hear the roar of good vibes coming off this place...This is living the life huh? I'm good. All is well at this point in the journey. Yesterday was weigh day here and I was back down the 4lbs I went up, which I am sure had to do with retaining water. I've got 7lbs to go to goal...but frankly I've lost interest in an acutal number, it's become the longevity that I am into now....This next week is the big race, and we've worked sooo hard to get here. I am thinking of "going after the weight" after that...

              Good morning. Actually checking in in the morning today.... I had really strange and ugly dreams last night. Hope that doesn't foreshadow today... Off to work, but have my lunch packed, as long as I'm not too busy to eat it!

                Hey, everyone! I've been back from our mini vacation since Wednesday, but have been so busy, I've barely had time to post in 6EC! We had a good time, but it was SOOOO HOT on Tuesday at Six Flags. With the heat index, it was like 102! It didn't help that I drank very little water on Monday in preparation for the drive to NJ. Even with little hydration, we had to stop three times on the 5 hour trip! At any rate, by Tuesday evening, I was so dehydrated the water I did drink was directly absorbed! Haha! Didn't have to worry about cheating because I didn't want to eat anything anyway! The ds had a great time, so that was very good!

                Been working on home projects since we got back. Scrubbed and cleaned the screened-in porch, the tables, chairs, etc., then installed outdoor carpet. Looks very cool! But it was very humid yesterday, too, so that was a ton of work! Try cutting a straight line in carpet without a carpet knife!

                The rest of the weekend is reserved for cleaning house - ugh. Then next week comes planning for summer school.

                  Good morning, people. I keep saying I'm not officially starting induction again until July 1st. But for all practical purposes, I may be in Day 4 (?) of it. A lot of weight has come off in this time and I'm feeling less bloated. It's that ol' water and having to stay near the bathroom-thing going on. I'll still do the "official weigh-in" on the 1st and stay on this for two more weeks.

                  I slept in again, being a bit tired. But I have lots to do. #1 brother and family got into town last night instead of tonight so let the fun for 13 days begin!

                  Got to start cooking the beef jerky this morning. I had to lie down for a moment yesterday when my stomach got yicky and zonk right out. Oven is ready so time to get that going. Tonight, we're all heading to Bro #3 and will be kicking back around a campfire. SO looking forward to it all!

                  Everyone sounds happy enough (well, except for Annie's dreams...take them with a grain of salt, Ann). Wishing you all a great day! L8R!

                      Hi STAC folks!

                      Today is my first official roll call, I feel so special! , really!

                      A question for the group, do you do exercise or other types of challenges in this forum or just join other challenges on the board?

                      As for my WOE - This is Day 7 of re-Induction and I'm really doing well and I feel good (enter Little Richard, I think that's who sang that song).

                      I did have one issue this morning though. I made the mistake of putting off grocery shopping and didn't have left overs from dinner last night. So, I didn't have my kitchen stocked with my necessities!

                      Luckily I had time to swing into the grocery store and picked up some legal chicken wings. I hate doing that to myself though, being prepared it a big thing for me. So lesson learned!

                        Getting back into a routine now that all the graduation ceremonies, etc are over and the company has gone home...so I'm checkin in for role call.

                        Its nice to be back

                        I have lots to do in the next couple of days so I'll be keeping busy.

                          Can anyone tell me the true carb count in the minute muffin?

                          My health food store guy said there is no carbs in flax meal....i made the muffin last night and stayed in dark ketosis.

                          I read elsewhere that you should count all the carbs in the flax meal???

                            Good morning, everyone, i'd like to say THANK YOU , for all the wonderful recipies (sp?) and the support through the forum.
                            I finally posted a pic (me on mother’s day w/ 15 YO)….yuck!!!! I hate it, but felt I had to do it…..I will post a midway pic this weekend. I can already tell a big difference. I hadn’t seen the pic since mother’s day.
