    Well....I'm far from an expert here but you are supposed to take fibre grams away from carb grams to get a net count.....soooo....since my flax meal has 4 grams of fibre and 4 carbs in 2 tbsp's...its 4-4=0. Hence 0 net carbs in the flax meal.

    Hope I'm right, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm not.

    As far as the other ingredients in your muffin in a minute...you have to count the carbs for those. There are so many variations for it, its a great base. I made one last night and added ground up unsweetened coconut and I omitted the cinnamon....yummm.

      good morning everyone...happy friday. today is my monday so i am cleaning and getting ready to head to work. it's a gorgeous day here...66 degrees with the sun shining and not a cloud in the sky...the lake looks calm and peaceful this morning...i love living on a great lake. hope everyone has a beautiful day!

        Thanks Sweet, I agree with you, I'm not going to add the 4 carbs in. I did add in the other carbs. I guess i'll find out if i start putting weight on. Coconut sounds soooo good. There must be so many variations....i'm just glad to have tried it, it really takes away that bread urge i've been craving.

          Good afternoon everyone. Haven't had time to read everyone's post but it looks like lots of new people here. Welcome newbies.

          Haven't checked in either been so busy. Just finished two days of college orientation with my son who will soon be leaving to live on campus and start his own journey. This is my last one home, my baby....(0ohh he would die if he heard me say that.) We were served three meals on campus and I stayed on track. They had lots of salads, vegetables, and meat. But, the desserts looked sooooo good, and there were so many of them. I just passed them by.

          Hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday, and here's to a great week-end.

            I would count the muffins this way..
            Flax Meal -0 carbs
            1 egg - 1 carb
            1 packet of Splenda-1 carb..
            The rest was butter and cinnamon...so 0 carbs..

              On FitDay 1 tsp of cinnamon comes up as 2 carbs...but 1 is fiber so I always counted the cinnamon as 1 carb....Also there is 1/2 tsp. of baking powder in the muffin as well...Fitday counts this as 1 carb.

                Howdy..howdy!

                I am doing an evening check in because I have been so busy looking at houses. We are thinking of moving. I am about on my way out the door to my daughters production. They are doing Aladdin Jr. and tonight marks the end of camp for her after the show. I have missed her because she stayed at her friends all week. Can't wait to see her!
                Scooter congratulations on your performance it sounds like you brought down the house. Good for you, doing what you love. It feels great doesn't it? You keep on keepin on.
                Jess congrats on the weight loss. I hope I reach the point where it is not about the number on the scale and more about the rest of my life. I am still takin baby steps here.
                To everyone else sorry I gotta run but I sure do appreciate being able to come in here and chat a bit and read up on how everyone else is doing.

                    Here and doing well! And I agree with Jess, I am not striving to reach goal NOW NOW NOW like I was....I'm thrilled with the way I look and the way I feel. If it takes a couple more months to get the rest off, that is fine with me. I'm just so happy to have committed myself to this and be off the sugar!!!

                      Hi everyone!!! Took a break from logging in... sorry! Had a quilting attack... Tuesday I went to the Del Mar Fair with DH and bought a new sewing machine which I have wanted for 20 years... went to my quilting group on Wed. and quilted all day with them (they are also old work buddies from the ER I worked in only 6 weeks ago... so good to catch up...) Yesterday, DH hung out with me shopping at cost co and other things... lovely lovely day, then I finished the quilt top I started. Today I cleaned my house (Yeah!) went for my birthday lunch with friend... and had a dinner party tonight with inlaws and mom for son's birthday... so nice! Was down 4 lbs I had gained so really at 194 again! (Yeah!) Staying Atkin's good all through... but darn it.... I really need to finish my miles, so I think I'll get on my bike now at 9:45 and work it! I have been doing my abs and really feel it in a good way. I have thought about you all all week... you are my motivation and just the memory of what you say and what you all have acomplished gives me strength to stay at this and be committed for the long haul... really feeling good. Thank you!
