  • Low Carb Tortillas made me fall

I have been struggling off and on for the past few months trying to be 'good'. I gained some weight, came in here and posted about it, and did really well for awhile. Then I bought some low carb tortillas by mistake (I was buying tortillas for my family and picked up the low carb package by mistake - its looks the same!) and instead of taking them back, or just giving them to my family I decided to give them a try. First one a day, then two, then I justified other 'low carb' stuff like ice-cream. My fridge was accumulating frankenfoods at a rapid pace. I was gaining weight. I ran out of low carb tortillas and had a regular tortilla, and then another, and another. Same with the ice-cream. Now my pants are too tight once again, I feel lethargic, no energy, sleeping crappy, hair not as shiny, general well being shot to heck because I am too busy being down on myself. So, here I am again! Clean day so far, lots of water, my attitude is already better. NO low carb tortillas for me - ever!

    Thanks!

Lucky, it's good to see you back. I was thinking about you the other day, wondering where you'd scampered off to--it's a relief to know that you're back and dedicated to do this!

Those LC tortillas are dangerous. Normally I eat La Tortilla factory ones, and they cause me no grief. Well, one day, they were OUT of the La Tortilla brand, so I bought some Mission LC tortillas...those were a different story. When I opened the package they smelled like real flour tortillas...and tasted like them too. Immediately I had flashbacks of me in HS, eating a whole package or tortillas plain. And with these Mission tortillas, I couldn't eat just one, either. I'd eat 2 or 3 at a shot. But I managed to make them last a week. Once they were gone, I said "no more" and I WILL NOT buy them ever again.

Sorry I rambled...I just wanted you to know that those tortillas can be DEADLY!

    Glad you're back, D!

Thanks for the welcome back Juli. The tortillas I bought were the evil Mission ones and they are so fluffy and floury I just couldn't resist. But I can now!
