  • Bust out the duct tape, I'm gonna need it (bloggy post)

I'm back in, I'm back on the wagon. Someone just tape my booty to the seat.

It's been a heck of a year, one of those "what doesn't kill ya, makes ya stronger" kinda years and it's only July. Diagnosis of a speech-delay for my 2 yr old son, 2 miscarriages and then being told my son has hearing loss in both ears, I won't bore ya with the details, just needless to say I have gained a good 10 lbs back since December and I was already up 10 lbs from last spring at that point. Been waffley with staying on plan, tried Weight Watchers and found it great for maintaining, but I always have the munchies because of the carbs.

I just feel like a Fatty all over again, all my clothes are tight and it sucks.

I never really did everything I should have last time. Never found my CCLL, never climbed the rungs correctly, stayed in induction entirely too long. I think I let my calories stay too low for too long and threw myself into starvation mode and stalled myself out. Got frustrated and jumped ship a bazillion times

    Ready to start my "Do-Over"

Anyway, a big "hello" to those I have chatted with before and a big "Nice to meet ya" to those I haven't. Any encouragement is welcome and tough love is nice once in a while too

I hear you all too well !!! I was here probably back in '05 and did pretty good... let it all go to my BIG FAT HEAD ...(lol) And it caught up with me really quick. This board is the one thing that keeps me focused, and the one reason I have stayed with it this time for more then 3 or 4 days !!

              Melindaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Girl, you *KNOW* this works for you. The addict (carb addiction) is what's keeping you down girl. That addict is talking to your head and telling you that weight watchers is better (because you get carbs), that you are too stressed to give up carbs, blah blah blah. When the truth is you'll feel MUCH better and be much better equipped to deal with your stresses if you are OFF the carbs (particularly sugar and that evil high fructose corn syrup). The blood sugar instability is a real *itch to deal with and makes us completely irrational at times.

So, get the crapola out of your house...or at least move it so it's not in your face constantly (if your family still eats carbs) and let's get you going in the right direction again.

                  Thanks guys!
Scooter, I have always found you to be an inspiration! <3

Thanks Joy for the tough love. You are right.

It wasn't just the Weight Watchers, it was being told no low carb while pregnant. I was pregnant a grand total of 4 of the 7 months this year. That totally didn't help. I have 3 female family members who have had reasonable success with WW. But I think I am too sensitive to flours and sugars for that plan to work for me. And yes, it was the rice. The rice gets me every time. Potatos, meh, but the rice.... But I'll have it again.... when I get to that rung. I will do induction for 2 weeks and 2 weeks only. And then force myself to learn the rungs and find my CCLL.

You guys are awesome. Thank you.
