I have been away for way too long. My family and I started last Jan 2006 and all was going well. I lost about 60 lbs from then to Aug, but then----my child went to college and it felt like he moved to Africa. I was distraught. I fell off hard and went head first. After gaining all of it back, we are all ready to go at it again, the whole family. We spent 1 month getting prepared mentally and financially. I have been on for 1 week and and very happy to report a 12 lb loss. I was pleasantly surprised. Hubby down 10 dtr #1 down 8 and dtr #2 4 lbs. My hubby does almost all of the cooking. He loves to watch the food network, so let him go. I think I am more prepared this go round. Last time I was still using the bars and shakes and I have vowed to stay away from them this time. Probably why I was surprised at the weight loss. Anyway, I am feeling good and glad the appetite has subsided. It is a beast ya know. Later.

Re: I too am back
Hi Lady and welcome back. I am fairly new to the boards and I am on my 8th day of induction. This is the farthest I have ever come without cheating and it feels really great!
It is neat that your weight loss is a family effort. My husband has jumped on the bandwagon too. My daughter is little just 109 lbs but she eats healthy.
I hope to see you in the roll call every day. It really has helped to keep me motivated, accountable and on track. The people in there are really nice too, very encouraging.
Take care and best of luck to you as you start your journey!

Re: I too am back
Hi lady and welcome. you and your family are doing great, i think it's so much easier when all in the house are doing this wol. my DH is on the bandwagon with me. i would never be able to do this if he was still eating like we both did before. i am on day 7, so we are along the same time line since start of induction. if you are feeling half as good as if feel i know you are feeling so much energy right now. i feel like i could walk to the moon.(ok well maybe that's a pretty drastic exaggeration), but i feel pretty good compared to the week before i restarted induction.
congrats on your's and your family's loss, and keep up the good work.

Re: I too am back
There are a couple of good people on this board that love to do those for us. I would go to the technical or one of those rooms and see who is offering. The lady who did mine is no longer around, but I just picked an image from a random web page and emailed it to her with my current weight and my goal weight and she did everything. She is really cute isn't she.Originally posted by Sweet StrudelHi...and welcome back...nice to meet you!
