...again. Like so many others, I could kick myself for ever leaving.
Blah blah reason this and blah blah reason that, I found myself off this woe a few years ago and gained back nearly every pound I'd so happily and easily lost. Yes, it was sooo easy for me the first time. My favorite line was "Diet? What diet?" I had lost 50 pounds in 6 months! Went from 22/24 blouses to size 18's and was this close to being in a size 16. Then "it" happened. I'll save you the long boring story. Suffice to say, I went off the diet and started gaining again. Doesn't help I'm a huge fan of potatoes (made ANY way) corn on the cob and bread....and ice cream. As you can guess, didn't take long to baloon back up.
I tried to get back on several times...SWEARING I would do it this time. Even came back to the ADBB and tried to renew one of the things that kept me going the first time...friends on the ADBB who KNEW what I was going through. But for whatever reasons (I'm sure if I tried I could find at least a dozen excuses) I failed again and again.
This time, I've gone a whole week AND weekend (my biggest obstacle) and I'm still going strong. I've been on it since July 9 and I've already lost 5 pounds according to my scales.
I KNOW Atkins works, I know how to do Atkins, and I know once I'm back into the full swing like I was a couple of years ago, I'll be back into Onederland before I know it. It's just so...
....that I left when I did....I COULD HAVE BEEN AT GOAL BY NOW!!!!!
So, I'm going to MAKE myself log in EVERYDAY, because this board was so very vital to my success last time, and I know it will be this time, too. There's nothing quite like having the support of those who have "been there, done that". God bless the ADBB family.
