  • Friday Roll Call July 20th

    Good Morning Everyone... Just wanted you to know I will be gone all weekend.. I am heading to Christiansburg...up near Va Tech. (the college that had the shootings this year) My kids qualified to bowl in the Commonwealth of Virginia Games.. Its like the Olympics.. Friday night there is an Olympic Ceremony...Saturday they bowl.. Sunday they bowl if they make it to that round.. So we are also going to Luray Caverns.. I have never been there. Will be home either late Sunday night or Monday Night...

    I am looking so forward to this time away...

    Yesterday I had the munchies bad...and its because I was very upset... My stepmom came to VA again and didn't take the time to see my kids..even after she called me to say she wanted to see them.. She knew I was going out of town today.. She did this in December too.. She stayed in my SAME TOWN..

    So I was wanting to feed my anger... Chocolate was calling me so bad.. But I didn't... Let me tell you.. It was so hard.. But my daughter kept saying.. Mom is eating the bad stuff going to help..and I said NO.. Which she is right..

    So I am proud that I made it through.. I plan to be Legal all weekend too..

      Congrats Sandy on being so strong. Weekends and emotional times are toughest on me. This week has been very challenging, but I'm pushing through like a trooper. I hope next week is better.

      Good morning Jess....thanks for motivating me to push it on the bike, I did 8.7 miles last night. I realized I only had 11 days left to complete my goal of 125, so i'm turning it up. I get my stiches out Wednesday, I'm so happy : )

          Sandy, its really great your daughter is being supportive too!!! Keep her close and stay legal this week. All your kids are really great kids.



          My starting weight was 235 lbs and I'm trying to get to 130 lbs.

          1st mini goal: 145! met 12/09

          I drink coffee. I drink when I am thirsty. I am just a low carber. Not on Atkins at all!!! He has everything to do with my weightloss and nothing to do with it, depending on who you ask.

            Good morning, had a good day yesterday. My work team is going to be GREAT. Now if I can only get my s*** together and exercise my life would be even better. Its one of those things that is a little voice nagging me, I better start listening. I won't be working late tonight so thats a big plus. Once again and for the last time I will exercise tonight.

              Ooops, I forgot to talk about me. The scales went the wrong way! I ate more veggies, I wasn't careful enough with the Ranch and may have had over 20 carbs. I'm gonna mix up my own dressing made with mayo next time. I did get my walking done, and it wasn't so bad after a day off from it. I'm puffy and dinner is still with me so that probably has more to with the scales than any dieting mistakes.

                Hey Rita, girl you are doing gooooood... A mistake is a mistake the first time! We all have learned by our mistakes....they have been a great tool in my life. The "puffy's " come and go, just keep your focus on achieving daily routines that work for you. Good amounts of water, foods and exercise....just work on that, and sustaining these efforts. Soon the weight will take care of it'sself...At one point on the journey, it's the least of your issues.....

                    Good morning everyone!

                    Great job Sandy! I was looking longingly at some sugar-free chocolate last night, but I managed to avoid it.. I'm sorry that your step mom was such @#$%^.

                    I've been hearing a lot about fish on a plank, so last night I bought some cedar grilling planks. I can't wait to try it this weekend. Has anyone else here done it? Can't wait!

                    This morning on the radio they were talking about fondue. It got me thinking. I think I see a beef fondue in my future. With a mustard sauce and a teriyaki sauce and a horseradish sauce. Cheese fondue usually takes some cornstarch, so I'll have to find a way around that. I foresee cheese fondue with pieces of cauliflower, broccoli, muchrooms. I don't foresee chocolate fondue, unless maybe I could dip strawberries in chocolatey whipped cream. I'll have to give that one some more thought. Does sugar-free chocolate melt normally? Hmmm. Why not use cocoa powder and Splenda somehow. Oh, are you still there? I was just talking to myself!!!!! LOL!!

                      Good for you Sandy, weigh to go! Last time I was successful on this WOE my daughter was a HUGE supporter. She and my son were so proud of me. Quiet often she was the little good angel sitting on my shoulder when I wavered on my food choices. She was a driving force for regular visits to Curves. I used to credit her for a large part of my success. Since I fell off the wagon her faith has been shaken and she no longer fills the role of "food police" for me. That's ok. I am in this for myself this time and I take full responsibility but I know she will be proud of me as I stick with this for the second time around. (and I admit there is a degree of motivation in that as well)

                        Mornin Everyone

                        Great Job Sandy....and everyone else in this group. We are all doing well!

                        Not too big of a day today, gotta get out and water my plants this morning before it gets too hot...I think I can hear them wilting as I type...sheesh.

                        Ptobably hit the mall today with my daughter. Get some walking in.

                        I made stuffed green peppers last night. They were good. Haven't had them in years. Problem is I think I ate dinner way to late last night. You know it was one of those days that you don't get a chance to eat until late, then its bedtime...Not Good!

                        My eldest daughter had a laundry incident yesterday. A ballpoint pen accidently got missed when she put a load of clothes in the dryer and boom it exploded with ink everywhere in the dryer and on that load of clothes... .

                        So, she came to mom's house to do the rest of her laundry. Her and her fiance are going camping today and she needed to get it done. Anyone else ever done that?

                        Well, its a mess but there are suggestions on the internet as to how to get it off. They will tackle that when they return.

                          Good Morning Everyone! I havn't posted here in a while but check in to see how everyone is doing each day. I'm still going strong, 48 cheat free days and am in Owl rung 3. Cleansed from caffeine, and am feeling really energized and focused. Sheepie, I was reading about your cheese fondue. You may want to try arrowroot powder to thicken it up. I love using arrowroot for thickening up sauces and gravies. Looks as though everyone is positive and doing great. Wishing all of you a wonderful and safe friday!

                              Sandy thanks for getting the roll call started this morning. I am really inspired by you and how you are overcoming life's every day obstacles that get thrown at us. Good for you for staying strong and resisiting the temptation. It is hard, but you did it!

                              Sweet Strudel...I giggled when I was reading your post remembering how my daughter would leave little presents of crayons in her clothing and we would wash and dry them. We also had a couple pens in our past too!

                              Sheepie...you got me thinking about fondue, I think I see it in my future too!

                              Tachie....congratulations 1 day down...you go !

                              Got my treadmilling in this morning! Yahoo! this is the longest I have ever stayed with it doing it every day. You guys are motivating me so much thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!
