  • I'm back for the _____ time.

    I've changed my name, because of a stalker, but this is my third time on this board and I will call it my third time around on the WOE because I choose to ignore the numerous failed starts I've had in the last 9 months.

    I've had tremendous results on Atkins, both times, and both times, due to life events and pure laziness, stopped right around 180 lbs, 30 short of my goal. Then went right back up, slowly at first, then with ever-increasing speed.

    Now I'm terrified that I've relinquished the right to have those great results (pounds came off slowly, but inches just melted right away) because I've abused induction several times. (here's where someone can reassure me and promise that it ain't so! lie if you have to.....)

    So anyway, this is day two for me. I can tell that this is going to be a true commitment because I've got the right mindset, so I'm not afraid of slipping up.

    Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere, we go!
    Start date: 7/29/2007

    Scale: SW:235 CW:193
    GW:150

    Tape Measure: I've lost 42.5 inches as of 3/15/2008

    Mini goals:
    215 - met 9/10/07
    205 - met 10/17/07
    195 - met 2/20/08
    180

    I survived a two-month stall!

    Evermind, don't believe that "one golden shot" crap... as long as you are patient and follow Atkins exactly the way it is supposed to be, you will have awesome results.

    I went from 215 to 155 on my first time around, but I didn't progress through the rungs properly or methodically determine my CCLL and it contributed to my downfall. I went back up to 187. I restarted on February 25th of this year with a commitment to do it right, and I am below where I left off before with confidence that I AM going to make goal.

    Atkins does work, it you work it the way it should be. Best wishes to you... you CAN do it!

      Thanks for the reassurance.

      The neurotic part of me says "yes, but Mitzi started just for the second time. This, Evermind, is your TENTH time!"

      However, I'm peeing up a storm, and I know that the inches WILL come off (I don't really focus on the poundage, as it never reflects the true size lost for me).

        Good for you Evermind! At least you are coming back...and you are not a scale addict like me! Just keep coming to the boards...you know how it's done...good luck...hugs!

          Don't sweat it, Evermind. I'd say the majority of the people here in STAC are on their greater than second time and there are a lot of success stories. I have been reading some of your posts around the board and it is evident to me that you have exactly what it takes to get the job done. I love your attitude and you have a lot of knowledge. As long as you are willing to work it, you are going to do just fine.

              Yeah, I didn't join the 1,239 Time Around Club 'cause there wasn't one of those. I too worried that I stopped and started so many times that I messed up my body chemistry. But with patience I feel this time around is a better success story than the last. I have learned alot about myself this time and I think I have a grip on why I got away from Atkins 3 years ago. Welcome back!
