Missing your roll calls JESS...where are you??????

I don’t remember who quoted this, but I thought it was important to this thread
"Character is the quality that one possesses to stay committed to something long after the excitement to that commitment is gone."

    Do you have character?

I see a lot of people here with great character, because you stayed committed to the WOE, long after your excitement for it was gone, or maybe you are still exicted..hee hee

    Things I’ve learned:
    Drink plenty of water
    Exercise, exercise, exercise
    Journal
    Use Fitday
    Don’t cheat
When weak, seek advice from another Atkinee
    Don’t always trust the scales
    Measure/measure/measure
    Love your body and yourself
Don’t listen to outsiders (non Atkineers)
    Continuously make new friends
    Get your vitals checked
    Take you vitamins and supplements
And then drink plenty of water again
Diet coke is not your friend
Do all this and you will be successful on this WOE.

Gosh, Michelle, it looks like you've got it all handled...If I keep doing it, YOU DON"T STEP UP and allow what's in you to come out! Look at the flow, friend you've got it going on.
I blogged on my blog site today, about "THIS TIME, I'M DOING IT DIFFERENTLY"...

Look at all the things YOU are doing differently, Michelle. It makes all the difference when you do it STRONG! FOCUSED, CAREFUL, and PURPOSEFUL...
    Have a goodone.

Boy, I guess! That was a great post, Michelle! Diet coke is not your friend LOL That's about right!

We have a nice rainy morning here. I tend to get energized when it rains - who knows why? So I suspect I'll get a lot done today. Good ol' housework inside - if it clears up and dries a bit, yardwork later.

Part of what I need to do is plan my meals for this week. Breakfast is usually easy (I need more carbs, though), lunch is pretty good. I get into trouble for supper; willpower goes down, don't feel like cooking, etc. Anyway. the menus from our Veggie Challenge will be the example to work from. Then I'll change and tweek it from there.

Been too lax and know I'm out of ketosis big time. So here we go again. First thing I need to do is re-develop that stubborn streak of refusing to budge off this WOE, even being a pain in the butt over it.

SO hope to be working soon - I desperately want the routine again! That played a huge part in my weight loss a few years ago...

      Have a great day, folks!

Good morning all you fabulous folks out in ADBB land! I gotta say, stopping here first thing in the morning (and afternoon, and evening, and before bed....) is like stopping at the gas station to fill up my tank, clean my windshield, and top up my oil and windshield wiper fluid. Now I'm good to go!

Have a marvy Sunday everyone, I'm off to drink, drink, drink that water!

weighed for the first time in about 2 weeks... no change. didn't expect any...
Had a good day food wise yesterday with no cheats... think I'll start keeping track of number of no cheat days... that would be a good focus.

Good Morning all, after three or so weeks I finally got off my butt and got some batteries for the digital scale..

I've lost 18 pounds in three weeks?!?! I know I was eating WAY too much before (portions. and snacks out the wazoo) and have not cheated and stayed at or even below the carb counts, but jeeze! LOL I do remember the first time on Atkins the weight came off like this, its glad to see it working again like it did the first time. This is actually my third try at this. The second time I was miserable and lost practically nothing. I will see what happens in two weeks when I weight again..

              morning all!
blazin i loved your post, especially 'diet coke is not your friend, ha!' you are right though, you go through stalls and slumps and the best thing to do is just keep doing it, whether you are excited about it or not. getting on this board gets me and KEEPS me excited about it, i have to be honest with you.
still in a stall, have not lost any weight in weeks. not eating differently, stepped up the exercise, and recommitting to water...that has slacked off a little mainly b/c i didn't have time to get to the store to buy water and the city water here is YUCK. excuses, excuses. focus. recommit. move on.
              have a great day!

                  Re: Sunday morning roll call

Morning, all! Great words of wisdom to wake up to from you guys.

Tmn - I know what you mean about the willpower at lunch. What if you pack your lunch in the morning, as if you are going to work? Then just grab it from the fridge at noonish.

My "low" point is usually between 3 and 5. I've got a couple of tupperware containers always ready with legal snackies that are high in fat. I just grab one, and go read.

Today is day two of my couch to 5k challenge, and when I've digested breakfast a bit, I'll go to it. Other than that, a relaxing day, I think.

                  180

                  I survived a two-month stall!

Lunch at work will be a cinch because it'll be packed. My hard time is suppertime. So that's what I have to continually gear up for.

Wow, I used to think I was the only one who would lose it in the evening when nothing was ready. I actually kind of feel a sense of panic about it sometimes. I'm getting into this idea of planning ahead. I've been making cheese and pepperoni/salami chips ahead for quick snacking and this morning made a chicken salad to keep in the fridge for an emergency (I actually told my hubby "this isn't for breakfast, it's emergency chicken salad"). We made a roast last night, so did have that on hand, but variety really is the key for me. I'm going through a mental check list of all the bases I've got covered so nothing can get in my way. Hmmm, I think I'll go boil some eggs.....
