Hi guys! I was here every day back in April...I started back in Jan (after about 3 years off the wagon
). I was doing great. My weight got even lower than the 202.5 you see in my siggie but it probably wasn't for a good reason. I started feeling really bad and was having abdominal pain and my doc thought I had diverticulitus so put me on a liquid diet for a few days. I guess I got down to about 195 but that's beside the point! When I still didn't feel better, I went in for a CAT scan and I didn't have diverticulitus but an ovarian infection. I had surgery about a week later and they had to take out an ovary and my tubes...which was bad news since we had been trying to have a baby for about 9 months. So I woke up to the news that we would have to do in vitro to have children. We were in shock.
I was laid up for about 5 weeks after my surgery and ate whatever anyone brought us to eat and then slowly got back into the grocery shopping but couldn't do big meals so we did a lot of convenience foods. I wanted to get back to Atkins so that I would feel good again (I always feel great on Atkins!) but I also didn't want to put too much pressure on myself to grocery shop and cook from scratch again.
I wish I had gotten started back a little sooner but all I can say is here I am finally! Maybe I will see some familiar faces!
