  • back yet again!

Well...I feel like an idiot...I've been back and forth atleast 3 times on here. The first time I actually lost around 40 lbs or so. This was by following induction for about 6 months straight, cheating on and off. Then I went back to my old way of eating and gained back a ton of weight, and then some. So I've gone from 130, all the way up to 200 lbs in the past year and a half or so. My last couple attempts I failed completely...got all gung ho about it and quit after a few days lol. I have recently re-read DANDR and I've been lurking the boards and I have decided that tomorrow (pay-day) I am going to restart with a clean slate. I realize that where I went wrong the first time was that I tried to stay on induction for months, then I just went nuts and ate everything in sight. This time I am going to follow Atkins the way Dr. Atkins meant for it to be followed. I never went up the rungs or any of that. I guess I was just trying to do Atkins my way. I realize now that I have to look at this as a complete change in my WOE forever. I am ready to make that change! I am only 5'2", and weighing around 200 lbs is really taking its toll on my energy level and health. I feel sick, weak, tired, and unattractive just about every day, and I know it has everything to do with my weight and poor eating. I remember how good and energetic I felt when I was eating right and losing weight, and I can't wait to have that feeling again! I love the support this board has to offer, and I'm so glad I can come here to give and recieve it! I will come back on here tomorrow and post my actual start weight and measurments as of tomorrow morning! I really hope I can stick with it this time!

    Re: back yet again!

You sound like you are definately commited to this WOE and are ready for a change. You won't lose a pound unless you are mentally ready. I took me about two months to wrap my head around getting back on track and oncde that happened I was able to breeze through the first week.

Post often and ask all the questions you can. The people in here know where you are coming from and can lend you a ton of support. You can do it! Congrats on your restart.
