    Good morning STACERS

    I don't know about you guys, but TGIF

    Ok.....I gave up caffeine on Friday last week, and since then I have dropped 1.5 pounds, after my pound dropped last week. So, It was true that the caffeine was stalling me.....I get on the scale every morning and I see the oz coming off. Before it was taking me weeks to lose one pound. I am now a firm believer that caffeine is not my friend.

    This morning i had 2 boiled eggs for breakfast.....and a piece of salami....lol!

    I was gettin sick of eating fried eggs which i used to always eat. I'm thinking about making some tuna or something for tomorrow morning. DOnt always have to eat breakfast food for breakfast right?

      Love tuna and mayo for breakfast! I have trouble eating breakfast, don't really like to eat in the morning but I do anyway, usually just stomething small to get me going. Cheese or a hot dog or a little cottage cheese something like that. big salad lunch , small dinner, probably not getting enough calories in for the day. need to get back to fit day. Always tweeking this woe, learning something new about it and myself all the time. I agree TGIF

        TGIF!! I have so looked forward to this day all week.

        I don't do breakfast very well. I am not a big fan of eggs. I've tried but I find myself eating sausage and cheese. I hadn't thought of tuna but I bet chicken salad would be good too.

        Lately, I find I can't stand the smell of broccolli. Ugh!! I use to love it.


        It's great you've given up caffiene. Giving that up is just as hard as giving up carbs.

        I'm just a few days into induction and I've lost maybe a pound and a half. But this time around I decided not to give up all the caffiene all at once. The last time I did this the headaches were so severe they made me sick. No amount of tylenol helped. I kept wondering how come I wasn't losing as fast - I usually can do a pound a day on induction - I bet its the caffiene.

        So, I think I'll just finish my cup of coffee and (huge sigh) go cold turkey...

          I had a headache for the first 3 days. It was bad. Now i'm ok, but I do find myself tired a lot, especially at 2 in the afternoon, it's really bothering me because i feel like sleeping all the time. I thought the diet would replace the caffeine energy. Maybe that takes time also.

            Good morning. Just a quick hello before we head off for a wedding this weekend. Hope I can be good. As for breakfast, I usually have a flax seed muffin (muffin in a minute), Scooter sausage, or sometimes I'll make a wrap with a low carb tortilla. I know some people won't eat the tortillas, I haven't had a problem with them and seem to lose better when I do eat them.

              I'm just glad the weeks over with....I couldn't handle another one like this again. UGH!

                  Hmmm...seems like this week has been a roller coaster for most of us.

                  Good job ditching the caffine Blazin and YAYYYY on the 1.5lb weight loss. I was drinking decaf coffee for induction then I switched over to regular. I'm not sure if it has had an effect on my weight. I don't NEED to drink it so I guess I'm not addicted to the caffine. I like the taste of coffee though so I might go back to decaf and all I really have is one cup in the mornings.

                  I can't find low carb tortillas here...where on earth can you buy them? Maybe its a western Canada thing...GRRRRRR...I can't find pure pureed pumpkin either. Maybe I should just move

                  I too am getting sick of the normal breakfast foods although I do often have the muffin in a minute or variations of it. I make it some days with some cocoa powder and unsweetened coconut mixed in OR yesterday I put pumpkin pie spice instead of just cinnamon...yummmy. You can do just about anything with the base of that recipe. Then some sugar free peanut butter on it. mmmmmm good.

                        TGIF!!! You said it!!!! I'll be so happy to get a couple of days rest. I'm working overtime again this week and that extra 10 hours tends to suck you dry. But it's extra $$$ so I'm "making hay while the sun shines". OT isn't something they hand out freely. You have to be an "uber" worker to get it.

                        Congrats on ditching the caffeine. I need to do that, too. I told my hubby I needed to switch to decaf (I just can't make myself give up coffee all together) and he said that I did just fine last time while drinking coffee and I had to remind him it was only after switching to decaf. It DOES help to take caffiene out of the equation. Absolutely it does.

                        Fortunately for me, it's just not really breakfast for me without eggs. Two boiled eggs, two patties of sausage every weekday morning on my drive to work. Weekends, it's fried or scrambled eggs with sausage. I LOVE sausage!

                        I got on the scale this morning and I'm down another pound! I'm so haaaappppyyyyy. And last night, I finally FINALLY caved in and joined a gym. It's owned and operated by, get this, the Super heavyweight Mr. Oklahoma, Charles Colaw. http://www.musculardevelopment.com/b...rowse&id=12316 He's such a nice person. Very sweet, not some mr attitude like some of them are. So, I should be doing even better on loosing and toning with HIM behind the whip! Him and my nephew, who has done exceptionally well under Charle's training.

                        Just thought I'd share.

                          A very good TGIF morning to everyone out there in land! Way to go on kicking the caff, I find it hard enough to control the carbs, never mind adding extras on top of that! Awesome!

                          Big storm here last night that knocked the cable and internet out. It just came back online about 10 minutes ago, whew, I couldn't imagine a day without coming here now. How did I ever do it?!

                            G'morning! <yawn> Glad to see everyone is chipper today.

                            I didn't give up coffee. I did give up my Starbucks Grande Raspberry Mocha, though. I just have a half cup of coffee with cream and water every morning (water to dilute the cream). I don't think caffeine stalls me, but I'm pretty sure that raspberry mocha does <grin>

                            IWillbething, I'd like to correct you on something, if I may. Breakfast should ONLY be comprised of breakfast foods. Not tuna. Eggs or cereal. Or pancakes. Or a waffle. Lunch is for lunch food - that's where your tuna comes in. And dinner? Why, that's where you have your meat, baked potato, and a small serving of green beans.

                            What, did you forget already everything your mother taught you? By keeping things in order, with only certain foods for certain meals, we stay slim and maintain our shapely figures............

                            (I'm a fan of a flax cracker with green onion cream cheese for breakfast).

                              Hello everybody!

                              congrats blazin and byker on your loss!! giving up caffiene is hard... I didn't drink coffee but I was a soda addict. I haven't had a single soda for almost 2 wks! all i drink these days is water.
