      Thanks for sharing your thoughts

I need ground control with caffiene and Splenda, too, and need more veggies than what I've been getting...along with more water. I'll won't be going through Induction, but I decided I'll flip myself backwards to OWL Rung 1 for a week because I'm a veggie lover .

      Cheers!

I did good on that one. Thanks for the thought.

Hey, Speedy---Yeah, rung 1 is just about mirrored to Induciton, but you get more room for veggies, fiber, and vitamins from the veggies. I was reading in the book, again as a great reminder, that veggie carbs need to be a main portion of our carbs, not the other stuff. Totally makes sense, huh?

          Cheers to more veggies!

I think that your thinking and recognitions, together with your plan to reinduct or redo Rung 1 of OWL is a sign that Atkins' plan has gone from being a weight loss plan for you guys to a way of living and eating and relating to food.

My goal is to be as mindful and proactive as you guys are......

                Re: ReInduction Thoughts?

                Hello, Apple

I am thinking about going to go back to Rung 1 a week from tommorow. My losses have really slowed during the last 4 weeks, and I really do want to lose the 8 pounds that I pledged for the Labor Day Challenge. We have 3 weeks left, and I have only lost 4 pounds. I have some yogurt and cottage cheese that I will finish this week coming up, and then I will go back to Rung 1 on Sunday.

Let me tell you, I am so going to miss yogurt, cottage cheese, and the almonds I put in my pumpkin every morning... gosh, I love these 3 foods. From berries on up - I can do without them for a while super easily. I love rungs 2 and 3. I am on Rung 6 now.

                  Re: ReInduction Thoughts?

Hi, Mitsi! Yea...I'll be in good company with you and Speedy considering Rung 1 again.

I hear ya on the LDC goal...I'm trying not to focus on the 6 of the 10 I still want to lose by then. The inches weren't budging and I had an idea that I was pushing myself a bit too far on the rungs with making it to onederland last month. I'll miss the berries, too, especially watermelon, but I'd rather back down now instead of later.

Cheers to working the rungs towards success!

No cheating, no cheating and no cheating...that is the hardest part for me. I drink plenty of water, eat my veggies, but I can't get a hold on my cravings. Good luck this time around!!!

                        Re: ReInduction Thoughts?

Pumpkin is totally legal on Induction, and a great asset for more veggies in OWL. I don't know how Mitzi makes hers, but I've made mine in the past....1/4 cup of pumpkin, 1TBL of Splenda, 1 TSP cinnamon (or pumpkin pie spice....I like flavor), 1 ounce cream cheese, mix and cook in the microwave about 2 minutes (or less depending on yours). I'm making myself hungry and realizing I don't have any pumpkin in the house.

                          Hello

I just posted this in another thread, but I'll do it again in case you don't see it...

I take 1/2 a can of pumpkin (comes out to .88 cups) and put it into a bowl along with 2 ounces of cream cheese. I microwave this for about 50 seconds. I take it out of the microwave, stir it up really good, and add a few drops of liquid splenda, 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, 2 teaspoons of allspice, and 1 ounce of natural almonds (roughly 22 almonds that I cut in half so I can have 44 nuts ). I stir again, and put it back into the microwave for 45 seconds. Stir again, and it is ready to eat. To me, the warmer it is, the better it tastes. Beware, this concoction contains 15 net carbs. I don't mind spending that many carbs for breakfast since I have been eating up to 40 net carbs daily. And I am always looking for ways to get fiber in, and this breakfast supplies me with 15 grams of fiber... yeah! You can omit the nuts if you haven't gotten to Rung 3 yet and/or can cut back on amounts of the ingredients if you need to make it lower carb.

I do eat pumpkin every single day. I know that I run the risk of getting sick of it by eating it so much, but it is so good and so easy to make that I just go ahead and enjoy it.
