Re: Just Think! Roll Call Monday 13th

    Good Morning People.

Cool news coming from everyone. It is good to here and quite motivational. I don't remember the last time I fit into a Large and was able to shop in the Misses department. It must be at least 6-7 years.

I am down 7# since starting induction on Tuesday of last week. I have been in Ketosis since day 2.

Yesterday I got home from Hiking and was extremely sore/tired. I suffer from arthitis and haven't had to take my pain meds since getting off the demon carbs. But I did break down and take a few pills yesterday. I am hoping that when I get my weight down more I will have less pain.

This morning my Husband asked me I if I could please buy some food for him and my daughter..... LOL They need diet soda and ice cream cookies etc... I am wondering how I can convert them with out them knowing it

I lost my appetite a couple of days ago. So now I am eating because I have to not because I want to. Cool Huh?

    Have a wonderful day.

    Julie

Re: Just Think! Roll Call Monday 13th

Good afternoon. Jess, your post made me smile. The teen years can be such a pain in the rear and when look back at them I wish I'd known about Atkins! I probably would've been a lot more comfortable going to school. I think I stayed a steady 220-230 all throughout high school. Couple that with very poor self esteem and you end up with a girl who never went out on a date, had a romance, ate lunch in the cafeteria, was on any teams or did any extra curricular activites, was introverted, never went to prom, and generally hated school.

But eventually I got over myself and here I am, married with 4 kids--lol.

Congrats to all the "losers" today. You all inspire me to make the most of my days!

That is great your daughter is starting in a smaller size than last year! My dd, 13 has lost 5 pounds over the summer so that is a start. This morning she asked me if we would have broccoli for dinner ! She started middleschool last Friday and they will be doing PE 5 times a week, well 4, since once a week is Health. I am thrilled, hopefully she will drop to a "L" rather than an "XL" also. Tell your daughter congrats!

Day 7 - Still doing ok.
Well I don't feel as rough today as I did yesterday, by 6.00pm I decided to go to bed!!
Still achy today, but at least the headache has gone.

Couldn't face scrambled eggs for breakfast YET AGAIN ,,, so I made myself a tuna omelette instead.

I know ive lost some weight, as the trousers that were very snug last week, are not cutting me in two this week, but im not weighing myself until tomorrow morning,,,

I was going to go walking in the Lake District tomorrow, but the weather forecast is for torrential rain and 40-50mph winds!!! Good old english summer weather.

Re: Just Think! Roll Call Monday 13th

                HI ALL!

Surgery went great, and I'm home eating scrambled eggs. No pain, and if I have any, I've got vicodin, so that's good. But I hope to be able to manage without much of that.

Jess - I'm so jazzed for your daughter!

Iwillbethin - What's up with complaining about the heat and having your photo be of you in a snowsuit? lololol

Alaska - Terrific that you're doing so well! And EVERYONE is sore and tired after a hike during induction, girl! You probably will be able to ditch the pain pills in a few months.

Bykerdruid - you have the same attitude about the gym as I do. I just need to get there every day, and do SOMETHING. Could be an hour and a half, or 15 minutes. And then, I get to sit in the jacuzzi, which always makes me feel better!

I'm going to be taking it easy today, obviously. My husband just DIED when the first thing I asked the dr. in post-op was "when I can I work out again?" Even the dr. looked a little askance. But he said by Wed. for sure, so that's good. Just no raising my arm (left only) or lifting weight on that side for awhile.

Re: Just Think! Roll Call Monday 13th

Hi everyone! I weighed-in today and lost 3lbs last week! I also started the Couch to 5K challenge this week so ran this morning for the first time in...a long time.

Ever - wow, talk about motivation!

Jess - great news about your daughter! Being comfortable in a size Large is a huge motivator for me (not so much what I look like it it but the fact that I am comfortable and can breath when sitting down!).
