      Re: happy/unhappy-image

I just need to be patient and stick to the plan. Like ya'll said it will come. Last night i was so tired and didnt feel like working out but I did and felt great. I've decided not to focus on my image but to focus that i only need 2 more pounds to go to make my 1st mini goal-lol!

Thank you all for being so supportive. Without this group I'd have such a difficult time doing this healthy lifestyle.

i had an experience like this yesterday...i've been feeling good cus i've lost a couple lbs since starting and i thought i looked thinner in my mirror. then i caught sight of my reflection in a store mirror and ICK....it can be discouraging if you let it...don't let it though...we gotta keep going and eventually before we know it we'll catch a glimpse of ourselves in a mirror and think we are mistaking it for some skinny chic! i can't wait lol

loL! Well when i'm on my gazelle and have my MP3 player going i visualize myself thin and looking good in a black dress. Last time i wore a dress i was in Jr. high-lol! I'm a plain jane and like jeans. I cant wait until I can look in the mirror and be happy. Someday soon

A tamale! That's funny! And I can soooo relate. I do Ren Fairs and quit wearing garb because I had more waist than hip or boob (and I've always had lots of boob). Kinda hard to look good in a cinched up bodice when you look not only like a tamale, but a pregnant one to boot! But I'm looking forward to next season when I can wear the bodice and skirt again instead of trying on the tent sized chemise and kinsale only to reject them too and throw on the sloppy jeans and oversized t-shirt out of disgust and frustration.

Man, I could kick myself from here to the moon for ever dropping off Atkins. I could have been at goal by now!!!! I just keep remembering that and it helps me stay on track. And I know I HAVE to come to these boards, even with all the support I get at home. My family supports me, sure. But you guys...you know personally what it's like and your support is invaluable!!!!

              Re: happy/unhappy-image

Well let me jump on the bandwagon here because reading almost every post here could be as if I wrote it myself. For me I'm almost glad when I get one of these reality checks it's so easy to become complacent with the loss I have so far and it motivates me to realise HELLO your not there yet!!!!! It makes me work harder and not get lapsidaisy about my workouts or what I eat ....... It is still depressing don't get me wrong ........ and for me I have yoyo'd my weight so much over the past few years that no one is really saying much or noticing anything more then whats within my normal range even though I've almost lost 30 lbs ........... I'm guessing I will ahve to reach 50 before it becomes a noticeable thing to most ......... 20 more here I come!!!!!!! Thanks for bringing up this topic it's so good to know we are not alone!
