  • Too Much Water?

    Is there such a thing?

I've been at a stand still recently and Im trying to fish out what the problem might be....I drink between 145-170 ounces a day.

    Any thoughts? Thanks.

I asked this question in the drink water challenge. I drink a lot also. 152 oz each day. I still lose consisitenly. I think EVERY BODY is different though. Could you be eating something that causes water retention?

lol Baby, you will get into the groove. Often times I have to stop myself. I've had 2 gallons a day before. I limit myself to 1 gallon a day now.

Drink to satisfy your thirst--and be sure to use the bathroom as often as necessary! Are you feeling bad in any way?

How long since you started? You've lost 23 pounds by your ticker. Sometimes your body just needs a little time to readjust. Are you losing inches instead?

I know it's frustrating to not lose, but unless you're swelling up, you're probably OK on water.

I hope you start losing again--but try to focus on the other benefits of this WOE until you do. Are you feeling better, do you have health problems that have gotten better, don't you feel better with 20+pounds gone.

Stay strong and keep with it--this WOE does work.

            Re: Too Much Water?

Im sure my food choices are ok.

But I have noticed that on the days I was losing, I would wake up and 'feel' smaller, ya know? and I would be able to tell that I lost something before I got on the scale. As opposed to now, I wake up and I feel bloated, but not like im all swelled up....just poofy! lol - yeah im stupid.

Im just gonna wait it out a little longer, if the scale doesnt budge then im going to start changing up my eating and exercising and water intake. We'll see, I dont want to change anything yet because I know that it could just be because I lost 22 in one week and now my body is catching up. I hope so!

            Thanks everyone!!!

              Re: Too Much Water?

I'm seeing this problem all over this message board. EVERYONE feels like they are retaining more water. Tons of people say they drink and don't pee as much as they should.

I can't figure it out. It started for me about 5 days ago, and I suppose it could be a TOM issue, but honestly, it's too pervasive around here. Weather? Biorhythms? Secret Communist Plot?

I dunno. But I think we all just have to hang in there and this, too, shall pass. Literally. <grin>
