  • How much sodium?

I think I must be getting too much salt. I feel like I'm retaining water still (also pmsing so maybe that's to blame also). What sodium intake is appropriate? I've never really paid attention to that before--and what foods should I look out for?

    Re: How much sodium?

Usually when I feel I am retaining water (puffy in my hands) I am actually dehydrated and need more water.

I never worry about the salt- I don 't seasonmuch but prepared foods are loaded with the stuff.

    Good Luck,

I went to the back of the book, DANDR and there is no reference on Sodium or Salt.
Drink more water, flush your system all the more...limit salt intake and see if YOU feel a difference...try to create a balanced approach.

Try using Morton Lite Salt, it has 1/3 less sodium and it tastes identical to regular salt. It also has potassium in it, so that will help you too.
