  • Eggs and my stomach

I love eggs. I used to eat them at least once a day before Atkins in all sorts of ways.

However, for the last week, everytime I eat an egg I get a reaction and my stomach goes insane.

I spent most of yesterday in pain (which I refused to allow spoil the day for my daughter). I'm hoping it will pass if I just lay off the eggs for a while.

Now, if I can't eat my beloved eggs for breakfast--WHAT ELSE IS THERE? I know I can do leftovers--but chicken for breakfast just isn't me.

Ideas? Oh and please, if you are suggesting tofu--send along the right way to prepare it cause when it comes to that stuff I'm clueless!

    Thanks in advance.

how about you move into OWL so that you have more options?

im not a breakfast person at all, i eat a slice of chicken or corned beef, i just cant stomach much at all... on OWL you could have berries with yoghurt or something....

Eggs affected me in induction but i have no problem nowadays, try cutting them out, and gradually adding one back in in a coupla weeks

I have never been a good egg eater. I hate eggs! I hate how they taste etc. However that being said I still eat them because they help me loose.

I would never miss eggs..... I pretty much feel like that every time I have to choke one down..

Maybe the eggs you have are bad? You might try getting some fresh eggs, butter or olive oil. Any of those items could be going over and making you feel icky.

I should let you know that today after eating eggs with steak and mushrooms I feel pretty bad. I took a tums and finally a nexium. Don't really know if it is the egg or part of my flue that I had over the weekend.

I hope you feel better and can enjoy your eggs again.

See, I'm becoming the same way. I usually fine with a cup of coffee in the morning and I don't crave anything until lunchtime.

But I used to have an egg or two for lunch because the idea of eating a heavy meaty meal for my first meal of the day just turns me off.

Maybe I can find some low carb pre sliced deli turkey and have that with some cheese/olives/1/2 tomato--or some variation of that for a while.

I really hope the egg thing isn't permanent. I'm moving up the ladder next Tues. So I'll give myself an egg free week and then start adding back things slowly.

Speaking of Tums, I went to the market yesterday and bought a huge bottle of them and a pack of anti gas pills.

          hahahaha. I was desperate!
