  • LOL - Here we go again!

Hi everyone - just wanna say that I never left this board - I just did not "DO" Atkins like I promised myself I would (If only reading this board could make me thin!) I started Monday (20th) , and I've taken the weekend prior to this to prepare my food diary etc. Got some great recipes from Linda's lowcarb website for Induction and feel really super charged. I realised that preparation is very importiant for me to stay on track for I do not need a lot of temptation to stray, but if I need to sign my planned menu for the day off and I know I cheated I really feel awful! SO I decided that I will not make myself feel that way anymore - I wanna feel good every night when I sign off my book! Love yourself I say! I have accepted that this will take time , but every day will be a day nearer to my goal.

Also - I used to get discourage when I did not lose for a couple of days, but have now decided to use this as a "great surprise opportunity" - meaning that when I struggle to lose I will start looking forward to a whoosie , because Atkins ROCKS!
Believing in yourself is not a vanity, it's a necessity!
God wants to take care of your problems for you.

Re: LOL - Here we go again!

Welcome super30's - I too started again on the 20th. YOU CAN DO IT !! This isn't my first or heck even second time coming back to Atkins but something has finally clicked that this is the only way of life that I can have. I have too many problems with empty carbs. I lost alot of weight on Atkins in 2004 and then did it MY way, which didn't work. I didn't go up the rungs like I was supposed to I just did my own thing and failed after a few months. Then it was just too easy to give up.

YOU CAN DO THIS -there are many wonderful people here with awesome stories, inspirations, tips, etc. Reading the board won't make us thin but once our minds are in the right place it is a lifesaver to read here.

Again, welcome from one "again newbie" to another.

Re: LOL - Here we go again!

Welcome back, as it were. LOL I started over several times myself, finding it hard to stick to it like I did last time. But I finally made it past a week one...then the weekend...then week two....then another weekend...and so it went. I'm not saying I'm completely cheat free (or else I'd have one of those nifty cheat free awards on my sig), but I'm doing pretty good on keeping my promise to myself. And exercising. That's the one BIG promise I made to myself.

One day at a time. And indeed, don't let the failure to lose oodles of pounds a week discourage you. Stick with it with the utmost confidence that you WILL succeed, you WILL have a whooshie and you WILL be glad you kept your promise to yourself.

Re: LOL - Here we go again!

Thank you all for the very warm welcome , but what else was I suppose to expect from such a bunch of warm, motivated atkineers!!!!! Just a quick update - I feel great (no induction flue - probably became immune after all the times I started Atkins LOL) I did not weigh yet (only after day 14) , but I feel that I am loosing, so time will tell. Also I have been trying induction firendly recipes from Linda's site - AWESOME! And another big change from the first couple of times I tried Atkins and now is that I cook Atkins for the whole family (I might just make rice / potatoes etc seperate for them every now and again) BUT IT CAN BE DONE and by using some of these great recipes I do not grave anything.
