    I can't believe it! I'm starting roll call? Wow. Guess I need to say something profound.

    My thought for the day is: Stick to your guns. As my sig says, never give up, never give in. Not on your diet, your exercise, your water or your values. If someone doesn't like it, tuff. You do what is necessary to succeed. That means sacrifices. Of mind, body and food.

    Good morning, bykerdruid!

    Stick to your guns was just the mantra I needed for today. Weigh in tomorrow, weekend looming...it always seems my hardest times are when I'm out of the weekday routine. Hmmm... maybe I should learn how to say, "No thank you, I don't want a cookie" in Klingon--obviously some people can't understand the phrase as spoken in English.

    Just gotta remember that no one can or will do this FOR ME, except ME.

      My Klingon is a little rusty but Good Morning to all...Cloudy but hot today in Quebec...I could tell by the humidity level at the gym (ick)... Gonna stick to my guns too...going out with a friend for a drink tonight...maybe supper...Well, looks like Lo-carb Rockstar and vodka...hee hee hee...Have a great Atkins day all!!!

          Kunta, I think that means its a good day in Klingon. Will be in a meeting all day, am unusually awake this morning thats good because I am going to get my team PUMPED UP and steady on track like me! Prioritize the work/get rid of the junk/put in the good stuff just like Atkins hehe. And Stick to our guns, thanks Byker

            Good morning, great start Byker...Sticking to your guns reall works....i've done since may 28th and the payoff has been wonderful.

            I'm down 1.5 pounds since last week, and i'm getting real close to goal, i'm so excited to hit goal. I wonder now if the weight loss will really slow down??? how was that for you Jess, was it slower in the end?

              Good Morning Folks! Sticking to my guns!!!!!!!! I needed this mantra today as I have to do a wedding at 1:00. Weddings are the hardest time for me as the food is always abundant and delicious and full of things I can not have. This one is serving a buffet which ususlaly means mostly carbs everywhere ...... Oh well I will stick to my guns, eat before I go and just drink tons of water while I'm there. Thanks again for your words of wisdom today!!!!!!

                Morning STACers. I am most definately sticking to my guns for today. Today is day 14 of induction for me and the FIRST absolutely, positively, sparkling clean induction I have ever had.

                      Good morning!

                      Well, I just measured, and I've lost 7 inches so far, a great many of which are from my hips, which is nice! So 15 or so lbs, and 7 inches since July 29.

                      Yesterday was an awful day. This kitchen project is getting on our nerves and dh and I are trying desperately to stay calm and not snap at each other, but we inevitably do, which makes us both feel horrible. The faster we can get this done, the better, but I am quick, and dh is slow and methodical, and so he feels pressure from me, and I feel utterly frustrated with him. NOT a good combination. Especially in a couple who have only had one fight in our marriage and who still adore each other after all these years.

                      So today, instead of "stick to your guns", my mantra has to be "be respectful and tolerant, gentle and patient". Which is fine, since I have not had a single temptation to stray in the last 2 weeks.

                      One goal for today besides preserving my marriage is to eat more - yesterday I didn't even hit 1,000 calories, because of all of the business and stress. Today I feel it. (Just for the record, consuming fewer calories does NOT cause a whooshie.)

                      Don't know what I'd do without you guys.

                        Hey Evermind...you can do this...I am EXACTLY like you...my BF installed a ceiling fan 2 weeks ago and it took all I had to not tell him to speed it up, to do it my way, etc...I counted my breathing in and out to stay calm...LOL!

                            Thanks for the great post bykerdruid. I am def sticking to my guns, no matter what anyone else says. I know *I* feel better so how can I deny my body the best I can give it? Why would I want to feel icky?

                            Evermind - DH and I are complete opposites too. The only project we EVER made it through without was painting the trim on our barn. Pretty sad!

                              Stick to your guns, I need that too. Darn scale ain't budging and I have been at the same weight all Aug. ARGH. I am now kicking coffee and exercising EVERY DAY. This is my first week, and I have gone back to Induction too. I am sticking to my guns in all regards and am feeling very in control. Did my daily peek at the scale this am, not happy with what I saw...but I am sticking to my durn guns!!!!!!!!!!

                              Michelle, congrats on the loss. I remember awhile back you were dealing with the frustration of no loss so your loss makes me feel better. Thanks for sharing!

                              Lynsey, You GO GIRL with your totally clean day. Good for you.

                              Let's hope all our Monday (official) weigh ins show lower numbers on the scale. Focus on living this lifestyle to a T this weekend......wait, I mean "STICK TO YOUR GUNS!!!!!!!!!!!!"
