    A Bright Good Morning, fellow STACers!

    I'm feeling pretty darn good this morning, if you take away the fact that I wish I was still in bed.

    I worked out at the gym again last night. That's seven straight sessions without falter. I made it past one week and focused on the second. Now that I completed week 2, my target is one month. After that, I'll continue to set goals for each week and harder goals for each month. Right now, goal one...finish this week. Goal two...finish this month (which this month is all the same week! LOL).

    My scale is finally coming down again after going up-down-up-down-up-same-same-same for the past two weeks. But I added 10 pounds to two exercises and added leg lifts for the tummy...and I DID IT! I sure was tired last night, but what a satisfying, fulfulling tired it was! Like I'd accomplished something! And that just makes me want to do it all over again Wednesday. Because the feeling of accomplishment is soooooo wonderful.

    Focus on that today. What you are accomplishing. Make it through just today, then go to bed thinking back on what you did positive for yourself today. Look back and feel gratification in what you ACCOMPLISHED!!!!!

    Morning everyone....wow, I'm second to post

    Hey Byker....good job on the exercise. Its the single hardest thing for me to adjust to in this WOL. I admire all those who are so dedicated to it.

    I was hoping I would feel "super" today. But I don't. I have a slight headache this morning. Hoping it leaves as the day goes on.

    Speaking of exercise, going to get some in today for sure. It is overcast here today so a good day to get some housework done.

      morning, I am accomplishing a huge task of completing cleaning out the garage to move my daughter's car into it, until she is legal to drive it....I've been out there soaking wet since 8:30...i have one of those husbands who comes unglued at the "thought" of change, and when He walks in and "sees real change"....I am gonna get it! You know for some there is perfect order in chaos, but for others of "us" we need things ordered.....so I've taken it upon myself to start a hurricane of reaction, or earthquake....so if it shakes at your place later today, you'll know it was "Outback Husband" roaring! (geez you'd think he'd be happy that I did all the work)
      oh there is one minor problem, I can't get the garage door unstuck from being half way up...that too will be going over "like roses"....
      I am sure I've sweat off a pound or two, too!

        Awesome job, Byker! I'm impressed, and you must be so proud of yourself!

        Today I report back to work (teacher prep) and I'm having some anxiety for unknown reasons. I think I've actually been depressed for several days - tired and lethargic for no known reason. So I didn't sleep well. I know that as soon as I get in to my classroom I'll be fine. It's the transitioning that appears to be difficult. Can't explain it, except that I wanted a longer vacation, I guess. (I am having all of the same students returning, and I adore them all, so it's not nerves about new students or anything) I struggle with anxiety but it's been great for the last many months. Odd.

        Anyway, yesterday I managed to eat the appropriate number of calories (yay!) and a lot of veggie carbs (regular +5, as I'm on rung 1 of OWL). I'm hoping for the same today.

        Good news is, the kitchen is almost done. dh has the morning off, so he'll be working on the countertop - the plumbing of the sink will take another few days, but after that - wow! It already looks gorgeous. Beach cabinets - very light wood. Brightens everything up.

        So have a great day, everyone - I'll check in periodically.

          Good Morning Everyone! Happy Tuesday to you!

          I woke up with lots of energy today I need to get some housework done as we have company coming on Friday for the weekend ........ Lets hope I can channel this energy towards my house! LOL

          Byker Way to go!!!!!! You will make your goals! I know you will I can feel the determination in your post! I love the focus on today mantra! Thanks for starting us off with a great message!

          Strudel I hope your headache goes away quickly this morning .......... I hate waking up that way! Maybe a nice walk and some water will help!

          Jess your hubby sounds a bit like mine ......... Especially about the garage door thingy ........ Lordy girl you'll probably burn calories just worrying about his response! ( waiting to feel the quakes here in Vt )

          Evermind enjoy your day today! I'm sorry the anxiety has been getting to you the past few days, I'm sure the whole kitchen mess has something to do with it. What grade do you teach? How many kids do you have? Yeah on getting your calories up! And on the kitchen almost being completed! There are brighter days ahead!


          Well I better get my hiney off the computer and onto the housework!

            Good morning! I'm getting a little depressed that I haven't lost any weight in about 3wks. I expect TOM anytime now, so that scale had better move!! Of course there were a few days when I had too many nuts or some wine, but I don't think that I was that bad to not lose anything.

            Yesterday Mitzie gave us the recipe for her pumpkin treat, so I bought a can on the way home for work, expecting my new liquid splenda to be in the mail. Alas, it was not, but I am ready for it!!

            My 6yr old ds started First Grade today! As he lined up outside, I noticed that he didn't tower over everyone quite as much as last year. He is so much bigger than most kids his age. He's a little chunky, but he'll always be a big kid, no matter how thin he may be.

            Happy Tuesday, even if it feels like Wednesday!

              Morning everyone! I got up early but find I have so many important things to do... (NOT).... like making coffee, making breakfast, making up the bed. Actually, after reading everything you all have accomplished already this morning it makes me feel inept.

              Sweet Strudle, you've done very good so far with your exercising considering how you dislike it. You've really come a long way.

              I just recently moved and my biggest worry is not being able to find a place I can exercise especially in winter. I lived in the south where winter is so mild that I could probably exercise out most of the year. Now I live up north where there is SNOW come December or earlier.

              I haven't checked in much in the past month, but I've got to change that so I can stay in touch with you all. So many of you have helped me get this far, and I so appreciate that. Lots of newbies here... good luck to you all.

                Checking in. Am very sleepy, and not used to being up at this ungodly hour of 11am (I work 3rd shift). I have a hair appt. at noon (Being in my 20s and having lots of gray in my hair is a pain in the butt), and then I have class from 4:30-10:30. I really hope I don't fall asleep in class, lol. Everything is good, Atkinswise. I was actually excited to go to work last night so I could have a big glass of ice cold water with a slice of lemon in it. Yeah, I'm pretty much a dork, lol.

                  Sheepie, I am feeling that frustration too. I think it has been over 3 wks. no loss for me. I even gave up coffee and exercised like a champ last week. Oh well. Back to that old word again....patience. I think I gave up this WOE this time last year because I couldn't get past this weight. If only I had stuck with it....where would I be now? But, that's ok. Everything happens for a reason. Now I know not to give in. I know more about myself. I know more about Atkins. I know patience.

                  It's good to be in this with all you guys! Congrats to all your weight losses and your determination. We CAN do this.

                    Good morning everyone.

                    Sheepie and Tack--I am in the same boat. Only I'm not taking it as well you two. I would have been happy to have gone down .5 a lb. this week--but I have actually gone up a lb. I know it's only a lb., but I just really needed the encouragement right now. I won't go on whining about it here--I don't want to be a downer in the roll call thread!

                        Sounds like housework is a theme for the day!!!!!!! I have the upstairs done now and am working on the downstairs! UGH to much to do and Laundry that just never ends!

                        Sheepie Tack Candy and BabyGotBack I just wanted to offer you all words of encouragement! Hang in there, You can do it!!!!!!!!!!! I know so well how these stalls can be so discouraging and We all know from other peoples experiences as well as our own if we just stick to it and remain faithful to the things we know are true you will prevail!!!!!!!! Also remember there are those of us newer to the battles looking up to you all who are before us and watching how you manage and get through things ........... there will come a time probably sooner then later when I will come whining to the board in search of support to remain faithful to this WOL when I am sitting in the middle of a huge stall and it will be those of you who have gone on before me and made it work that will lift me up and help me carry on!!!!!!!!

                          Ah, yes...HOUSEWORK! Ugh, I hate it. And, boy, do I have a lot if it to do. I have GOT to stay away from the computer and get some of it done today.

                          Evermind, your kitchen is going to be great and I just know that you will be fine once you get into the swing of work.

                            Checking in. Yesterday was my first by the book atkins induction day, and I feel wonderful. I drank 112oz of water, and that alone made my whole body feel great. I had a really bad headache this morning tho, but a few glasses of water cured that. I just have to say "WHAT A WONDERFUL SITE". To wake up and read all of your encouraging output, and knowing that the bad I'm feeling is shared too, this is SO AWESOME. I love what you said bykerdruid, about daily accomplishments, and keeping postive, and will certainly take that into acount for the rest of my day. Good luck Mickkey, I live in Michigan, so I know winters are hard. I do palates when I can't get to the gym, cause it gets too cold and snowy to even make it there. Hope everyone has a great day.

                              Hello all...

                              I woke up knowing I've got a very long list of things to do today. I'm selling my businesses and am about three weeks from close of escrow. So I've got lots of things to do to make sure the place is ready to be taken over by the new people. But I stopped in here for my daily dose of inspiration...

                              Thanks again gang.. you always manage to keep me going in the right direction!

                              Any how This weeks goal is to start doing more regularly scheduled exercise. I've been doing some here and some there but never actually panning or tracking what I'm doing. I have a dusty exercise bike that I'm going to dust off and hop onto. I'm going to try for a steady but not frantic pace and see how long I can manage to ride it before I'm winded. Then rest for a day... I imaging my legs will be a little sore. Then Thursday back in the saddle... and so on. Within the next two weeks I'd like to start jogging with my dog again.. He loves it and I enjoy what it does for me too.

                              So... thanks for listening and have a fabulous journey today!
