Hi everyone,
Well, I want to start doing the atkins diet today and I am starting off discouraged..here's why;
About 9 years ago, A friend told me about atkins. at the time I was approx 270 (I'm 6'3 tall), I got down to 185lbs (at my lowest) within 7 months. 200 is about where I think I should be.
Flash forward to the present: I am 328 lbs, feeling miserable, look like crap, and now have high blood pressure and cholesterol issues.
I NEED to change my life.
Atkins worked. I have since started and stopped a number of times over the years.Sometimes I made it 3 weeks, but mostly, they were 1-2 day attempts before falling off.
I KNOW this way of eating works..so why do I struggle to stay on it? I crave breads, I get super burnt on the food choices real fast.
Why was it so easy the first time and beyond hard the times thereafter?
Do I make sense here to anyone?
I'm gonna give it a shot, I hope this time tomorrow I have made it one day.
Could use encouragement, especially from men around my age (37) who have had success beyond the first time around.
