    I am seriously struggling to walk away from the Mackinaw Island taffy!

    Someone brought it to work, and I thought nothing of it while it was in the bag. Well, someone dumped the bag out on the counter, and the smell is intoxicating. I LOVE taffy.

    And right now, I don't love my body - I have to CHOOSE to put myself first. But my head right now is really trying to rationalize how I can eat some & start over tomorrow.


    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

    I'm almost in tears wanting to quit. I've got a crummy can of macadamia nuts on my desk, which are in NO way distracting me.

    Step away from the Mackinaw Island taffy, there is nothing to see there........

    I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

      Mich! DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry I just stopped by now. Hopefully my plea will not reach you too late!!!!!!! You don't want to kick your body out of ketosis! I had cake (don't tell anyone) for my #1 Son's birthday this weekend. No ketosis for me. Stinks. I am ok with the cravings thank goodness, but still...........

      DON'T DO IT! Keep that carbage out of your mouth. The smell is ENOUGH.

        Don't do it! It's like a one night stand, you'll be sorry in the morning, for one moment of pleasure. Let's stay focused!

            Nope, I've hung in there. Since I don't want to be known as the taffy-whore! LOL!

            But stilllllllll, I want some soooo bad. What if it were a one night stand with Brad Pitt. Would it make a difference?

            I mean, we're talking taffy straight from the island!!!

            I shoulda NEVER sniffed it! Yes, I'll admit it...I'm a sniffer-whore. But I did practice safe-sniffing. (The wrapper was on)!

                Even it was Brad Pitt, where's the loyalty? You see what happened to Jennifer Anison........No sniffing, no touching....just walk away. You can over come this temptation. You've come to far for any setbacks. Just picture where you can be by next summer, all because to you turned your back on taffy. Think about it.

                  I'm just reading this this morning and hoping you made it through the day!!!!!! Next time ask them to put it in hiding! I don't think there are too many people who wouldn't relate somehow to temptation and the trials of dieting per say ....... advocate for yourself let them know it's a major weakness of yours and could they please enjoy it with out putting it on display .......... If your not comfortable with that rub a little vicks under your nose it hides any smell!

                  Just a thought ............. I hope the rest of your day went great!!!!

                    Just stopped by to say i'm glad you did not cheat, it really feels bad the next day and is so not worth it...i speak from LOTS of experience in that matter....did that from Jan - May....self sabotaged for a long time....

                      what the rungs mean to me:
                      rung 1 - more veggies
                      rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
                      rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
                      rung 4 - berries, melon
                      rung 5 - wine -
                      rung 6 - beans, hummus
                      rung 7 - other fruits
                      rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
                      rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
                      Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
                      (on to pre-maintenance)
