  • Guess What I Got.

    Well, I went to the gym for the 5th day in a row this morning. I took the pilates class, which killed my legs, but another hour long workout. Shelly, one of the managers there told me she had a suprise for me. She asked me if I would like a free personal trainer for 1 month. He trains women at the gym, and they get a commision of his fee. They worked out a deal that every session he gives me, they won't charge him the commision on another client. I think this is so kick ***. I asked why, and she said that I am one of the most motivated people shes had there. Before the summer I was going at least 4 times a week. This summer took a very strenious turn tho, and I was unable to afford the extra daycare to beable to make it. But now Im back and going strong. And now I have an extra added push. Just wanted to share, I'm very excited.

    That is so great! Lucky you! I would love a personal trainer--but it's too much $$ for me. Luckily my husband used to be a personal trainer in college and we've been able to work out together lately. The past two weeks I've really been able to push myself b/c of him (and I can push him in the cardio area).

    How many sessions a week is it? Enjoy it! Learn as much as you can.

          Sweet deal! I've always wanted to be able to commit to a gym and do the whole personal trainer bit. Keep us informed with how things are progressing.

            Mandi - that is so awesome! I am thinking about joining the gym here. It is about 40 euros a month for a one year commitment, but the first six times you go, they give you a personal trainer so that you know how to use the equipment, etc.

            That is almost keeping me from going. Hee. I really would love a personal trainer, but when they see how out of shape I am. Whoo.

            what the rungs mean to me:
            rung 1 - more veggies
            rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
            rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
            rung 4 - berries, melon
            rung 5 - wine -
            rung 6 - beans, hummus
            rung 7 - other fruits
            rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
            rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
            Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
            (on to pre-maintenance)
