Ok, on August 6, I started the Couch to 5k program, jogging for 30 seconds at a time (or until I collapsed, gasping like a fish out of water). I have never been an athlete, and the last time I ran was when I was twenty-three.
Today I ran three miles. Just walked when I had to cross the street, and one other short period to ease a cramp in my hip.
It was relaxed, easy, mind-clearing, and fun.
I consider learning how to run to be the biggest gift I could give myself on my road to health.
