Hello everyone. This is my first post here. ON September 1, I began the Atkins plan for the second time. I first began Atkins while watching the invasion of Iraq on TV. My husband and I each lost 50 pounds over half a year. I started cheating shortly after that and when we were flooded out last June and I was forced to live in a shelter for a few days, all dieting went out the window. I now need to lose 40 pounds to get back to my target weight.
Since September 1, I have lost 6 pounds. I am afraid I did not measure myself before I started, but my clothes already feel less tight.
I am 55 years old.
I am 5'7"
I weighed 228 pounds when I started this diet.
I was 222 this morning when I weighed myself
My goal is to weigh 180.
My mini goal is to weigh 215 pounds when I go to my doctors on Sept 28. I could use a lot of help. I have checked some of the threads here and found them helpful. I am Bi polar and have hypothyroid, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I also have been having high sugar counts of late. Here is hoping watching my diet improves some of these issues.
