well this summer marks the oh, 3rd year or so i've been a member of this board. MADNESS!
My first time was definately the best, I went from around 212/215 to 180 in just a couple months. yay! (well that also included a nasty throat virus that made me lost 10 lbs in a weekend, hah at least it bumped me off of that 193 I was stuck at!)
Heres the part where I insert excuses for leaving and gaining weight, i'll spare you.
At my highest, Last year I was a ghastly 245, the most i've EVER weighed in my LIFE. Now at 5'10 I can pull off a little extra fajita meat but that was getting rediculous. I'd like to thank a year long sit down job that kept pizza and donuts a constant treat in their facilities, and a horrible marriage for that!
Now, my life has started over. I moved back home to Texas, got myself a shiny happy divorce, just finished massage therapy school at the top of my class, and I have an awesome boyfriend who's losing weight with me! also i'm down 25 lbs since last year, and heres the weird part, without trying AT ALL. I mean, I lived off frozen burritos there for like 3 months!! Ah the joys of having a career that requires physical labor! Anyway back to the BF thing, he used to be UBER in shape (black belt, hand-stand-push-ups kind of guy, till he hit college and gained around 60 lbs) True he's doing it his own way (the gym, and pretending to eat better). Hes actually part of the reason i'm motivated enough to do this again. We made a bet to see who could lose 24 lbs ( 2 lbs a week) by christmas! And i'm gonna whoop his butt! But nicely lol
That kind of fun competativeness is just the boost I need to get started and to finish at my goal weight this time. at 180 the first time I was SO close, only 10 lbs away. But life got in the way, as they say. I can't moan too much, life in this case was a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder that was sorely overdue, and part of why I lost so much so fast was I was completely obsessed. It worked, but it wasnt necessarily healthy.
Anyhoo, here I am again! 24 lbs in 3 months is TOTALLY feasible. I've set my mini goals on the same pattern, aiming for 8 lbs a month, so I hopefully will be a nice slim 170 by my 23rd birthday in April. According to all these charts and things my "ideal" weight is something like 150, but that seems too low. maybe because I cant imagine what i'd look like, but i'm built to have hips and boobs (just not as much as I have) and I'd like to have them proportionate, not vanish completely! at 180 I was swimming in my 14s but hadnt gotten around to buying the 12s yet. I honestly dont think my hip bones would fit it anything below an 8 or 10!
rambling is over, tomrorow morning I begin! woo!
p.s. its fun to see all of you from so long ago still around here! *waves to disco, rich and kent and everyone else!*
