  • I just ate, why is my tummy growling?

    maybe its just digesting and -feels- like growling??

    My breakfast was weak (just 2 boiled eggs) so I made sure to get veggies and fats into my lunch.

    I just ate maybe an hour or so ago, and I had
    2 thin sliced porkchops, which were fried in evoo
    1 cup of boiled broccoli with butter and a pinch of cheese.

    Any ideas? the grumblies are making me want to forrige around the kitchen, so i'm just sitting on here drinkin my water and trying to ignore it. I even had another bite of leftover porkchops thinking maybe I -was- just hungry, but its still there

    Its only my first day back on induction maybe its just annoyed with me that I havent given it its usual chai tea with cream and sugar!

    Digestion...

    If you're actually "hungry", add some more fatty foods to your meals...butter, sourcream, olives, etc. They usually help the tummy feel satisfied IF and ONLY IF you're truely hungry, and not just digesting.

      Kib, why not take a walk and drink a big bottle of water when that happens....Get outside and stroll. Water is a girl's best friend when you are trying to stay straight!
      The grumblings could be a very disgruntled tummy that wants what it wants!

        If I were you--and I was hungry--I'D EAT. Dr. Atkins says to eat until satisfied. That's not to say that you should sit down and eat an entire cow but when you are just restarting you need to feel satisfied so you don't feel ravenous and sabotage yourself.

        It's also very important to get in a good vitamin with Chromium--that helps keep away the hunger.

        Eating fat with your meals is also very important. Have full fat mayo or sour cream with that chop. Grab 10 olives. Fats will help you feel satisfied.

        Water is also important although when you are just starting out it's not always easy to pack it in in the volumes you need it. That took me a while to sort out.

        Don't feel guilty about eating more meat. You'll notice as the days go by that you'll be eating less and less before you feel satisfied. It'll happen naturally as you progress and before you know it the grumblies will be a thing of the past.

            Thats the weird part guys, I JUST Ate. I had like, 3 thin sliced porkchops and a cup of broccoli.
            Later on when I ate dinner it was doin it so I hate a little more and felt unfomfortable and overly full(I just ate a cup of veggies and 2 deviled eggs) and 30 minutes later there it was again. -weird-. My cals were a little low yesterday though, maybe need to get in some more, I think they were at like... 1052 yesterday.

              I've had the same problem when my calorie intake is low. I think it was day one or two and I was REALLY hungry all day. That night I totaled my calories and they were only like 1200!

              If you like pepperoni I suggest keeping that around as a snack. The kind I have is zero carbs and very good as a snack.
