    Crisis

2 days ago: Made a bet with the BF to see who could lose 24 lbs by X mas. Got my motivation all up and got back on here and back on track with atkins!

1 day ago: Was my first induction day. I was supposed to go to the store to get groceries, but my father got called out to work, and he was the money source of this little excursion, so I couldn't go.

Today: All I have to eat in the house that's remotely atkins friendly is big frozen steaks in the deep freeze. he DID have salad, which is why I wasnt real worried about veggies when dad left yesterday, but when I actually went in the fridge to get them, they were expired! DANGIT. For the record, my dad is a SAMS kind of guy, everything frozen and in bulk and -bad for you-. i'm waiting on my renewed debit card to come in, so I have no $$ and 6 days a week he leaves at 5am and comes home at 7pm or later.

So now i'm irritated. I just started yesterday and did really well, considering. Now i'm stuck between eating only frozen steak all day, eating nothing, or eating things not on atkins. I'll hopefully get to the store when he gets home, but what am I sposed to do till then? *pout*

    Re: Crisis

    Hello,

That sounds like a very annoying day. I'm not sure what to recommend. Is there anything else around like cheese, salami or canned veggies anywhere?

How long til he's home? Can you get to his work place?

    Hope you find a solution!

God his kitchen is SO annoying, its full of nothing big industrial sized bags of shredded cheddar, meat, and all kinds of things I cant have. He gets home in oh.... maybe 10 hours from now, and he usually gets called out to houston with is almost 2 hours away, and im sure as **** not driving in houston traffic lol

        Re: Crisis

Hi there. I was wondering what you mean about expired foods? The expiration date is just a suggested sell buy date, usually the food will remain ok for additional time. In fact my husband and I have been eating expired Atkins bars for over a year. We found we could buy them really cheap on the internet $2.00 a box. I hope your Dad gets you the food you need.

Sure you can. The book calls them string beans, but you're allowed a cup a day.

Waiting on renewed debit card? Which means you have account with money in it you CAN access? Do you have a car or walk? Take a walk to the local bank and get cash and head to the store on your bike w/a back pack on...exercise and shopping all in one

Dream- They arent string beans they're just regular ranch style beans

                    jess- no eggs! argh

apple- no bike, the closest bank is about 20 miles away. I live between two towns waaaay out in the middle of nowhere.

I just did as best I could. I found 2 little zip locked chicken breast way back in the freezer, and I did find a can of green beans and an activia yogurt. Not the best but i think I did a pretty good job avoiding all the fried crap in the freezer and all the chips and stuff my dad eats.

I DID get to the store last night, and I stocked up like -crazy- so I never have to do that again!
