    Morning STACers. I didn't see the thread so I jumped on it.

    Today was my weigh day and I didn't see the scale move at all. This brings me to ask--could this be a stall? Perhaps, but I've also noticed a trend here in the STAC where quite a few of us are having our own personal, "Why isn't the darn scale moving." wars.

    So, a stall is determined as not losing weight or inches for at least two weeks. I'm not sure about the inches part because I personally didn't measure before the no weigh challenge.

    So if by next week I still haven't lost, it's safe to say I am in stall. If you find yourself in the same boat here is some food for thought:

    To correct a stall,
    1. Make sure you are drinking enough water!!!!!
    2. Are you taking your vitamins?
    3. Make sure you are eating enough calories, and not starving yourself. Eating too little could be the number one cause of a plateau.
    4. Eliminate caffeine if you haven't already
    5. Eliminate artificial sweeteners from your diet
    6. Eliminate dairy products - i.e. cheese
    7. Exercise
    8. Increase the total fat in your diet
    9. Add additional supplements to your diet such as Omega-3 Fatty acids or L-Carnitine that help in the metabolism of fat.
    10. Eliminate medications - Make sure you check with your doctor first!!!!
    11. And last but not least....try going back to the Induction level of the diet
    So, if you ARE losing inches and/or the scale is moving, congratulate yourself right now and say out loud--I'M DOING IT!! No more self doubt, no more letting the numbers get you down.

    Good Morning! Yesterday was my official weigh in day was yesterday but the plane didn't have a scale. I was going to weigh in on Friday but it just didn't work out. I did my measurements Saturday & am down another 4". I hope to go home & see a decrease on the scale. It's good to have a dream. My plan continues to be staying on plan while on vacation. Will be doing alot of walking so I'm hoping that will motivate me to continue with exercise when I get home.

      Good Morning everyone ..........

      Meena thanks for getting us going this morning. I admire your tenacity through this no loss period. I have been very lucky so far and my longest stall which doesn't even qualify as one was 8 days and I was going bonkers ......... I know I'm in for it someday and probably not long from now as I am getting to a place where most of my dieting attemps ended so I am trying to learn from you all ahead of time how ot make it through it with out giving up. See with out even knowing it you are my mentor!!!!! LOL Your doing fantastic!

      gmitroff have a wonderful trip! Imagine the gall of them to have no scales on planes! Enjoy your time away and stick to your WOE! You can do it!!!!!

      As for me I took Yesterday off from excercise as I was feeling really dragged out tired wise and needed a break. It felt good to just sleep in in the morning and not do anything. But today I am jumping right back on track. So as not to get to used to laziness again! I ahve story hour this moring with Olivia and then after we get Caleb at school we are going on a hike with the local Moms Club. Should be a fun day with a little excercise thrown in in disguise! LOL

      I guess thats my day in a nutshell ............ I hope you al have a fabulous Atkins Day!!!!!!

        Meena, thanks for the stall reminders, there's a lot of them isn't there?
        the first time i stalled it was caffeine, the next stall was all nuts, but walnuts, now i'm stalled in grains, and heading back to dairy rung with OWL people, lot's of us are moving back in the rungs cuz stalling is an epidemic on this board right now....have you seen the thread for this? if not i'll link you to it if you want to join us.             Good Morning...OOPS...good afternoon...lol I woke up this morning..its weekly weigh in and I was very ticked off..I am up a 1lb.. and I am trying so hard today to not let that bother me.. My hands were kind of swollen so I know it will be off soon..

            Went to Water Aerobics.. Then ran some errands.. Get this..I went shopping for my daughters boyfriend.. His birthday is next week. Well my daughter and the boyfriends mom are getting him an Ipod.. Now Last year I bought my daughter a 30GB Ipod Video..for $249.. Got the boyfriend an 80GB video today! for the same freaking price.. He will be so thrilled..

                Good Afternoon.

                Meena Been, thanks for the stall list. Been at one for a few days, but I haven't watched my water. Don't think I'm getting enough calories for how much working out I'm doing either.

                I'm Sooooo Excited, I had my second interview at the Credit Union today. It went perfect. I think if I was less stressed because of work it would help me lose weight too. Wish Me Luck.

                        Hello everyone

                        I weighed today and have lost 5lbs. I am very, very, very pleased! My first week back on Atkins and I'm already losing. I guess it comes off pretty easily during Induction, though.
