    Thick and Thin

Somewhere a few days ago someone mentioned a food thickener called Thick N Thin. I am anxious to try it if it is legal on Atkins. Does anyone know where I can buy it?

It used to be found on http://www.proteinpower.com/ a website by Drs Michael and Mary Dan Eades of PBS fame with the show Low Carb Cookworx. I just went on that site and don't see that product but there is a way to contact them and hopefully they will respond with where to get it. I'd like to know as well!

    Good luck

We used to have a Low Carb store that had it, but it was terribly expensive, so I never tried it. I used to use arrowroot occasionally.

It was expensive but I ordered it anyway. Now I can have gravy on my cauliflower LOL I am not sure why but that thought makes me very happy

Can't we use cornstarch to thicken? That's what I've always used when I wanted to make "gravy" type sauces from drippings. I never really thought twice about it...

Cornstarch is a no-no. And in fact some people won't use store-bought baking powder because it contains cornstarch in it too.

lol-DUH!!! CORNstarch---I just had a brainfart!-just goes to show you how easy it is to slip something in and not realize it. It's a good thing I haven't felt like thickening anything lately!!!!

Wouldn't that have been sad to be eating it and not realize what you're doing... and have a stall and be like 'I'm doing so good! what's wrong????' Glad you haven't been eating it! That's what I love about this forum. We all learn from eachother... whew! That was a close one gf!
