Re: leg cramps any suggestions
I had that problem for some time, and I used "NO SALT" it's a salt substitute, full of potassium. The cramps stopped within a short time. I think you can buy potassium also, in vitamin form.

Re: leg cramps any suggestions
thank you all for the advise on the potassium and magnesium. I went to the store and found some atkins shakes that have a fair amount of both they are 5 total carbs with 4 grams fiber 15g protein and 160 cals. so I thought I would try drinking one of thoese a day and see if it helps if not i'll go up to 2 a day and keep a close on eye on my weight loss. I am also going to make sure my one salad a day has most spinach for the greens.

Lc beware of the shakes ......... from what I understand they stall a lot of people. Someone else can verify ......... Walmart has a womans daily vitamin that has a good amout of both Magnesium and Potassium in it. I would also pick up a calcium with D added supplement.
I hope you find relief

Yikes! Stay away from the shakes. They are not induction friendly. Always, check the ingrediants of everything you plan to eat because sometimes they like to throw in things like high fructose corn syrup and still want to call it lowcarb...
I second eveyone on the vitamins. I take a potassium supplement to ward off leg cramps. Good luck and I hope you make the right decision...

Re: leg cramps any suggestions
I don't have any helpful hints as far as which suppliments are best but I do recommend when you get a charlyhorse to remember to FLEX your foot. If you try to relax it or bend it in it'll last longer, be sore and generally leave you feeling much worse.
The best thing to do is to place it flat on a cold floor. Next best is to just push it straight out and flex your foot so your toes point straight up to the celing.
I hate getting charlyhorses. I used to get them a lot when I was preggo.
