    Ok, nobody started one, so I'm doing it.

    But I have nothing wise or pithy to say today, so someone else has to get us going in a reflective, inspired way!

    Evermind thanks for getting us started! Just your name on the board is inspiring girl so don't worry about fancy words!

    I'm a little discouraged today with the fact that I had a preoceedure done on my toe yesterday (been having lots of pain due to an overgrowth of tissue) and now I can't wear closed shoes for two weeks! UGH no sneakers , no running , UGH UGH UGH!!! It hurts to step down to hard on it and two weeks is a LONG time! I'm hoping it won't majorly effect my running but I'm afraid it will ....... Oh well just keep on keeping on right????? So thankful for my stability Ball and a few other things I can do ot still move my body!

    Other then that I am in Ketosis and eating is going well ......... I added additional Cauliflower to my diet this week and am trying to think of another to add for next week anyone got a suggestion of something good to add? I was thinking green beans but for some reason I am fearful they will not be a good one????? Not sure why are you all succesful with green beans???? I want to make sure I do this rung thing right!!!!

      Sorry about the toe Heidi...that sounds painful. But you are right there are lots of other things you can do besides running!

      I had green beans last night...yum delicious. There are so many yummy veggies out there, just close your eyes and pick one (off the list of course)

      Well no words of wisdom here today, just wanted to check in with everyone!

        Good Morning everyone.. I have been busy cleaning this morning...Burning some calories..Just taking a break..

        I eat Green Beans all the time...doesn't bother me...

        Got a busy weekend..But I mentally have plans on the foods that I can take with me

          Heidi - oh, bummer about the running. But isn't it absolutely ASTOUNDING that we get upset when we CAN'T run? Who'd have thought we'd EVER be this way! Now, remember, I had surgery in August, and couldn't run for about 10 days, and I was just fine when I started again - no problems, no loss of conditioning.

          Green beans.....mmmmmmmm. I haven't had any in forever. But I should! Right now, I'm eating so many veggies I can't believe that it's possible! I'm just finishing week 2 of the nuts and seeds rung, so I put walnuts on my spaghetti squash, and sunflower seeds in my salad. Yesterday I had pumpkin, spaghetti squash, cucumber, salad, zuchini, and another salad. Absolutely yummy - I look forward to my veggies every day.

          I'm really looking forward to this weekend. I need time to do some meditation and get some more sleep, and just focus on me and my Self. I feel like this week of anxiety has really eaten away at some of my natural serenity, and I need to 'refeed' using some very self-nurturing techniques. Here are some things that work for me:

          1. Post-exercise hot tub and sauna time. The latter with deep-conditioner in my hair, my skin slathered with oil, and my face covered with some kind of moisturizing masque.

          2. 20 minutes of visualization or meditation. Lying on the sofa or my bed, completely relaxed, focussing on soothing my thought-patterns and feelings.

          3. A good run (well, now, I never though this would be on the list!)

          4. A trip to starbucks to sit in the sun with my dd's and laugh about everything and anything.

          What works for you guys?

            evermind, i LOVE that you just posted your relaxation ideas! i honestly feel more relaxed just having read what you wrote! i also had a crazy week with several emotional rollercoasters, and fullly agree with what you wrote!

            i will have a nice long run tomorrow morning, followed by a biking outing, then to relax will have a nap in the sun with the windows open. may get a massage and if not will definitely do the hair/face masque as well as buy some new body buffing shower product and then slather on my favorite french body cream. smells heavenly!!

                  TGIF Everybody!

                  Heidi I hope your toe does'nt keep you down too long.
                  It does sound like it hurts.

                  I am on day 3 of induction and doing great and not even
                  tempted. Feeling fine too. No headache, etc...so that
                  is good! Made the Italian Casserole, from Genaw.com,
                  last night and it was awesome! Talk about feeling like
                  you are eating something you should not be, lol.

                    I have had a crazy week and will wrap it up today with a general sales meeting in about 3 hours.

                    I got up early and ate a good breakfast.

                        Good Morning.... having my coffee now and getting ready to go out for a walk/run...
                        Yesterday was a crazy busy day, but it all came out wonderful with the 40 boys/football team dinner... but they ate all the carne asada and I didn't get any so want to buy some more today for me! lol. I really enjoyed having them all here... and had help of another mom plus in laws and dh... it was a blast... still I'm glad it's over and nothing major like that on my agenda for a while...
                        just have snack bar duty tonight at jv football then we'll watch the varsity game... gonna be a little bit on the sad side as we're playing team who has a team member in hosp/coma... very much on the new right now... ds&dh went to prayer vigil for him...
                        anyways... planning a wonderful stress free day... got a little bonus at work so gonna go check out some winter coats... etc...

                          Is Genaw.com a recipe site. When I put it in I just get a page that says Welcome to Genaw.com and nothin else...

                            Happy Friday everyone. I've been trying to get in here for an hour and it's been one thing after another I had to take care of first.

                            I stepped on the scale this morning and I was down a pound! That put me into the 160's. But, I don't know whether to trust it just yet. First reading said 169.4, then I stepped back on because I couldn't believe it, then it read 169.8 . What? So then I took everything off, stepped on again, and it read 169.8 again. Do my batteries need changing? Anyway, not trusting it till I do.

                            Evermind, I love you thoughts on relaxation too. They all sound like something I'd enjoy. Thanks for ideas.

                            Heidi, sorry about your toe. Hope it heals fast.

                              I had a couple of olives for breakfast. For lunch, a slice of hamburger pie, more olives, some spinach and egg salad.

                              I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow morning. I am scared to see...but I have to know my starting weight. I hope I don't react like I've been hit by a train.
