  • Saturday Roll Call 9/29/07

    Good Morning Everyone... I thought I would start the Roll Call since I have been up since 4:15am! GRRRR I tried and tried to go back to sleep

    I have a little vent.. This past week I went in search of some new recipes.. So a bunch of the ones I have call for Zucchini so I went to Walmart..there's looked like crap.. Went to Food Lion..theres looked like crap.. Saw a guy on the side of the road with Veggies.. Bought 5lbs worth for $5! I should have gotten ALL my veggies there.. Unfortunately they won't be growing much here in the next month.

    So I am working today..Have lots of tempations to resist.. (work in a dining hall) We always have Salad... I have some chicken I am going to take...

      Hey Sandy and STACers, I'm up early too. Off to meet a bunch of women who want to do a triathlon next spring, so we are walking-jogging-walking...Our leader is a way, so I'll lead the group....Should be fun, it's very cool out!

        Hey guys. I have been up for 14 hours already and am ready for a big Saturday night! But alas, it is not to be. My student's assignments are not going to grade themselves.

        I would love to hear about all the wonderful things other Atkineers are doing today that I can look forward to once the school year is over.

          I too am up early...is this from being in Ketosis?..I Think I have askd this question before. I have been waking up between 4:30 and 5:15 every morning...what's the deal? Side effect...old age...what?


          Waiting for the sun to come up so I can hit the pavement...I do look forward to my morning walks. It is starting to cool off a bit..can feel a little hint of Fall in the air.

            Good morning everyone...WOW, you guys are up early??? I at least slept til 7:20, it was much needed after being sick, but i'm better now, and back into the swing of things. Hope everyone has an awesome Saturday...i'm going to clean my house....blah...

              Good morning...Sandy, hope you get a nap today It's nice to know I'm not the only one up early this morning.

              I woke up at 5:30 thinking about and planning a math lesson using a tool box and tools. Yes, I was working on my math methods homework before I went to bed. I had to jump out of bed and type up everything that was flowing from my brain before I forgot it. Geez, I hope my brain takes a break and lets me rest sometime this weekend...

              Let's see...I made it into the 180s this week...just slightly, but so. And I'm celebrating by buying new underware and some clothes. How's that for a nice week?

                morning yall, i am up early too...6:15 on saturday for no reason? i think this is because work has kicked my butt this week and i have been up by 5:30 most days, i think my body was well trained this week. but that is good, because i can go get my run in before the temp climbs to 100!

                today i am going to get a manicure/pedicure, do the hair deep conditioner, and apply the self tanner! i have a benefit dinner tonight, very fancy, and i have a brand new curve hugging black dress and heels that i cannot WAIT to wear!!! oh, and a nap will definitely be part of the afternoon plan.

                  Good Morning STACERS!!

                  It is a beautiful fall day...perfect for walking. DH & I will do that this afternoon. Today is all about rejuvination...a very long hard work week. A few months ago I would have been so exhausted from working so hard but now I have the energy to survive!! That is one thing this WOE has done for me!! I slept in until 8:30 & am ready to tackle my list of things to do along with having some fun.

                      Good morning!

                      I was up at 5:30, but refused to get up. Instead, I read for an hour, then fell asleep until 8:30. It's ketosis - we don't need as much sleep. I used to be able to take weekend afternoon naps - now I can't fall asleep, so I just read. But early in the morning I can still get myself back into dreamland.

                      I'm spending the next 2 hours working on some stuff I've put off for my masters level classes. Then I'm getting my hair colored/retouched and a mani pedi. Then a few more hours of work, followed by a trip to the gym, which I desperately need. Hopefully, that will complete any work I need to do this weekend, and tomorrow will be spent on more nurturing things!

                      I've been consuming enormous quantities of veggies (my GAWD, you can eat a lot on OWL if you want to!) and as a result, my intestines are talking to me today. I will make a flax muffin and perhaps cut back slightly.

                      This past week was so emotionally wrenching for me, due to anxiety and stress, that I want to spend time healing and regrouping. The hormones should be diminishing (YAY!) and that will help. So will fitting in more exercise and just adjusting my schedule a tad.

                      Life is good, folks. Let's keep working to make ourselves the most able to enjoy it properly!

                        Good Morning... was looking forward to a day off... when the boss called offering to 'help' with the college fund... ie. work for time and a half... so took it... yeah! but don't have to be in til 3pm... yeah...
                        weighed and measured... down another lb and 3.75 inches... which isn't that great, but I'll take it anyways...
                        anyways, got to get in some miles and slim n 6 today.

                              Howdy everyone. I got up late this morning , almost 11am. I have been working really hard at work and it finally caught up with me. I have to leave soon to work 8 more hours of overtime. Yesterday I was tested big time when the manager bought donuts for everyone. I ran to my locker and got some string cheese and ate it instead of one of those yummy filled donuts. I am very proud of myself . I wish I could get motivated to begin a work ot routine but I do a lot of physical labor at work and I really am too tired.
