    Oh man it's Oct 1st. Wow time just flies and flies....Good morning STAC.
    I was just over in Phatty1970's thread, catching up to his amazing journey....
    There was a huge gap in his post's and I thought, "oh man we've lost him"...
    But He popped up doing great, 4 weeks in! That just sent a spark down my spine!

    Posting here and coming here is truly the biggest difference to any other time I have done Atkins. Coming to ADBB really focuses my attention...It's so much a part of my morning. I use to get up and go online and listen to motivational teachings and drink coffee, when I started my journey here I cut that out...

    You are all so full of support and understanding. There is such kindness and lack of judgement around here...Of course that's because we HAVE BEEN HERE DONE THAT, with the diet before....

    If you are new, come and post in the morning, this daily post was started a yr ago when one of our own decided to "get more committed"...I was so excited to begin to make a daily statement first to myself and then to you.
    "Im here! I'm still on Atkins" "I want TO BE HERE IN A YR"...
    That's what I'm always saying. I am here, I am committed to this lifestyle. I need you, and I am here! So, with that in mind, keep posting, cruise around and help make this site even better. Pay it forward!

    Good Morning...this has become my morning routine also..Grab my coffee..head to ADDB...I know this will keep me on track.

    Waiting for the sun to come up so I can hit the pavement..hopefully get in a 30 min walk this morning.

      Way to go Lisa, you are focused! TOTAL FAITH WILL GET YOU THERE and ACTION DRIVEN BY THAT FAITH! Faith in our bodies ability to work this way, and faith that it is a highly specific ketogenic diet that will win in the end...
      We cooperate with that blindly at first, as we do with each and every diet...We buy in and follow...
      If you buy in and follow and stay on course, in time, you will get where you are going....Patience and time must be accepted and practiced!

        Good morning. Congratulations on being green, Jess. Our newest moderator! What new duties does this entail?

        I had a great weekend. Not exciting, but still great. Last Friday I was really sick with a cold and every single time I've gotten a cold over the last 5 years, it's turned into something worse that has needed antibiotics. This time I slept a lot and tried to be really good, and now it's almost gone! Not sure if I can credit Atkins or not! LOL!

        We went to a cookout at my boss's house last night and had a great time. I could eat all the meat that was grilled, kebabs, salad, pickles and super spicy Lebanese olives. I brought an almond pound cake which was so rich and satisfying that I wasn't even tempted by the chocolate whipped cream pie that someone else brought. It's rare that I drink coffee (maybe once every other year), but I indulged and really enjoyed a cup of very thick Turkish coffee. Really, this way of eating was no hardship at all!!

        Now it's back to work and now that I'm feeling better, I need to do some exercise.

        Remember, water, vitamins, exercise! I know they're basics, but I still need to remind myself.

            Butterfly Island is a concotion of a few friends on line here and I've not seen them around for some time, so I think I will edit that OUT....of my bio, now if I can find that place! Oh yeah it's in my control panel.

              I'm baaaack. Well, I never reallly left officially, just didn't report in much last month. If it wasn't being at the hospital with Mom, it was a darn cold that made me puny and sick. This past September was one of the worst months this year if not my life. Mom being in the hospital was bad enough....

              But this is a whole new month and last month is done and gone! I refuse to let the failures and fiascos of last month extend into this month. August was a never miss, September was a barley make it. I'm ready for another "never miss". I'm still a little sick from the cold, but I have GOT to get my workout routine back in order. I so miss going to the gym.

              So, today...a Monday...October 1st and I am going to strive for a no miss month. No missing a single workout, no missing a single day to maintain my Atkins WOE. It's all fresh, new and I'm ready to roll. But first....I have to take my Dayquil.....

                Hi Everyone.. Its a chilly October morning..On a diet group I am in...everyone is always gearing up for January..you know the beginning of a weightloss.. I am still trying every day..and no they are not always perfect days..but I keep plugging at it.. I am happy that THIS YEAR I am down 30lbs.. I should be further..but 30 is better then nothing..

                I have some yummy meals planned for this week that I am looking forward to them

                    Good morning, all!

                    Well, I had a very productive weekend. Got a lot of classwork done, but not all, so I still need to plug away at it. However, I got enough done that I don't lie awake thinking about it!

                    I took a lot of time to relax and nurture myself. As a result, I'm feeling more calm inside, which is good, because I always envision anxiety eroding my insides!

                    Yesterday, in addition to all of the good things I planned, I cooked for this entire week. Everything is in containers. Woo hoo! All I will have to do is prepare my veggies everyday, which is no biggie.

                    Tonight I have to represent staff at a PTA meeting, so I won't be home until 8-ish, which is a bummer. However, I will try to take a walk in the afternoon.

                    I've lost 26 lbs since July 29, and I feel GREAT.

                      Morning, I am still trying to get healthy. Doing more low carb than atkins right now because am on my 2nd round of antibiotics/fever/200% gravity and need the bread to keep my tummy calm.
                      Am doing the best I can with what I'v got. Will be 100% on track as soon as I kick this thing. I saw an interesting piece yesterday on , The Truth About Food. that totally backed up Atkins. It was refreshing to see how protein keeps you filled better than carbs and how daily can help you lose weight.

                        I saw that same show Speedy and had a smile on my face the entire time!! I was disappointed though that they stopped short of actually mentioning names.... But, the evidence was clear--protien keeps you fuller longer than carbs--na na na na naaaaaner. hahaha.

                        I'm in an oddball mood this morning. The kids and I were singing Down By the Bay and they came up with some pretty hysterical lines that kept us cracking up all the way to school. I think my favorite was--did you ever see a bee kissing a tree. lol.

                        Make it a great day everyone!! Oh and Jess--when did you get a cool promotion!!! Congrats and thanks for being here for us!

                          Good Morning Everyone! It's a bright beautiful day here in Vermont and I am excited about getting out and enjoying the crisp fall weather!

                          I have been frustrated the past few days as I am working on trying to figure out how to continue to excercise in a way that I won't have any set backs but all things I can do with no shoes one! I have a stupid infection in my toe that has turned into a much bigger thing then I planned. They think it's caused by a bone spur that caused irritation deep in my toe and now turned into an infection. I ingnored the pain for along time thinking it was an ingrown toenail and just "dealt with it" but can't do that anymore ......... the doc is talking surgery and probably at minimum a month or more before I can comfortably excercise in sneakers again so this month I decided I am focusing my energy on my stability ball and squats and firming type of things I can do with no shoes on ......... then last night my daughter got a new xbox game called Dance Dance revolution and let me tell you it's a very high enegery excercise that I can do in socks!!!!!!! I was so excited to discover something so fun that I can use to my advantage! ( all though I look ridiculous it is fun!) so that my plan for now ............ I ahve to put my whole couch potato running aside for a little bit but plan on getting right back on track as soon as I can with that ........... Improvising right?????? It's the key to success here I think and I am fast becoming good at it! Like it or not!

                              Good morning everyone! I'm back. It's been April since I posted and my waistline proves it. I've GOT to get back and track and am committed to do so. I know this forum will help.

                              I don't have a lot of time this morning, but I'm promising myself I'll post daily (and am using fitday again) and draw inspiration from all of the wonderful members here.
