  • Don't Quit Merryjo!!!

Please read the posts I did last week and see all of the encouragement I got from the members. It was quite overwhelming. It helped me out of my "funk" and it helped me regain my strength to take atkins by full force again. YOU ARE WORTH IT!!! YOU CAN DO THIS!! Please check out Linda's recipe site. It has pictures of most of the recipes and indicates each recipe whether it is for the incudtion period or not. Look, I have tried and tried and failed each time. I am dedicating myself to the atkins lifestyle and taking control of what I eat from now on. I too have gotten so bored with the patties and eggs....blah blah blah menu. But it doesn't have to be that way. Check out the recipes, there are so many wonderful choices you can make to keep it exciting and fun. I never knew that before. I though eggs for breafast, salad for lunch and patty for dinner. Do some research and create some masterpeices that will be simple to make and so yummy to satisfy your tatse buds. We don't need those nasty old carbs ever again do we!! I am happy you decided to stay, you made the right choice. I made the right choice. This is NOT easy, it is hard but it is worth it! You will be so happy that you stuck with it! We will all get there!

I think Angela and Merryjo should start a "don't give up" challenge and support club. I'm sure there are tons of people who have felt the same despair, and, as Angela says, getting support and encouragement from others is really what gets us out of the dumps.

That's a great idea evermind!! I'd bet that there'd be a huge response and a ton of people helped out of their funk!! That's something right up Brook's alley too. She's such a good supporter.

What do you say guys?? I am up for it! It is so true that when you are at your lowest point and ready to just give up, kind words of support and encouragement make all the difference in the world!! I would love to help others when they are feeling like they wonna throw the towel in. It's such a bad place to be...

I say go for it and post!! I'd put it up in the challenges forum--I'll bet it does well. Advert it in your siggy with a link to get the word out esp. in the induction forums.

              Re: Don't Quit Merryjo!!!

Angela, thanks! I read your posts from last week. Some of them were very inspiring, especially the one about 1 step forward, 2 steps back. I have been dealing with a sick son for 6 years and that's what it seems like for him too. Now we are finally maiking some progress and I'm glad I didn't give up on him. How bouts we don't quit together? We can do anything if we put our mind to it. That's what I always think, I don't know why I wasn't applying it to my diet. I think for me, I am just too too busy and it's easier to make a patty or eggs.

You know, when I am following the diet, I just FEEL better about myself! I don't have that stuffed, bloated feeling and i fjust feel happier.
              Thanks and good lcuk!
