    Just a quick post to let you all know I'm still here. Had a LOOOONG day yesterday, and an equally long yet not as tiresome day planned today. Had to take Mom to the hospital at 9:45am (leaving my house at 8:15am) to prep her for surgery to get the chemo port put in. Then lab tests. Then consultations. Then about 6 hours worth of chemo. We left the hostpital between 10:00 - 10:30 pm and arrived at her home around 11:30pm. I got home between midnight and 1:00am. Like I said, loooong day. Mom tolerated all of it quite well, no nasuea today and eating quite well. Thank you all for your prayers, they are working.

    Today I'm trying to beat the rain. Painting my motorcycle fenders before they rust. Got them bead blasted and it's vital to get a couple of coats of primer on asap. And I have to to that outside because the hubby has the woodshop filled with a project for my neice. And I'm mowing the yard between coats of paint. Then off to the store to purchase some serious bargains at the local Big Lots. Then to visit Mom and my brother who came up from Dallas, and my neice who also came up from Dallas. I'm going to TRY to squeeze in the workout I missed yesterday.

    Well, got the garden to mow, then another coat of primer on both fenders. Wishing all a successful Atkins day!

      Well im in a horrible mood today.
      It started off nicely as I had planned to take my daughter book shopping.
      I went to have a shower and whilst I was in there, my son decided to steal money out of my purse (not the first time). Totally put me in a grump for the rest of the day.
      But thankfully my mind didn't even think of cheating.

        I know the day is almost over but I thought I would post anyway. I am at work.Mandatory overtime. I missed a beautiful day at home. I have been very good today. Ate a healthy breakfast, drank my water had great snacks and a salad a little while ago. I actually feel skinny today the big jelly roll under my girls has melted away in 5 weeks. The scale hasn't moved much but I feel a lot better. It is going to be a challenge to get through the holidays but by then I should be under 200 pounds and I know that will keep me going.

          I am doing it- day 6, and I will make it the distance! I have had bad news, and because of a problem with my immune system following a summer of surgeries, I cannot do any exercise that causes me to sweat for five weeks, so there goes the cardio- and I was doing soooo good. However, my Dr. commented on my bloodwork and asked me what was up with dumping all the ketones, and when I told her what I was doing, she said hey, If it's working, more power to me! I can however, still do the weights in moderation so there's somethin! BUT, the best news is I got into my size 8 jeans that I couldn't get on this summer (a twelve was TOO TIGHT )!!!! ...maybe there's a size 4 in my future???
          Ride a draft horse, it'll make your butt look smaller!

            Congrats you hard working people...Hats off!!!

            Good evening..I am always here too late in day...Anyhow I will make an effort to get on in the AM so I can get some more inspiration. I had the day off for exercise. I am consistently going 4-5 x's /wk and getting in 45 mins cardio on the eliptical..300 crunches...and 3 alterante days of upper body strenthening. I my hips are small so I stick with focusing on the upper body. Feeling more energized as I look forward to the exercise during the week as I am stressed with school...sigh...breathe....

              I'm late posting....been a tough week, but next week will be better...still 8 ounces from goal....driving me nuts...tom's here, so it might be another week.....hugs to all of you.

                But, Evermind, I found yours to be very interesting. Sometimes we do act like children, don't we? I can see that many times it's because we're expecting perfection in ourselves, and our disappointment when we mess up makes us immobile for a time. We just have to pick ourselves up, realize we all slip up from time to time, and move forward once again.

                Congrats Evermind for the 1.5 loss! Before long you'll be at your second goal.

                Congrats to anyone else.... I just haven't had time to read all.
