  • Monday Roll Call 10/8/07

    Good morning everyone! Back to the grind day for most of us...ugh!

    Today is the start of Week 2 of induction for me. I had a really good first week and hope I can keep the 'mo'. I feel wonderful and very motivated. The mistake I made last time (the time I was successful, I mean) was that I didn't really move on to OWL. I stayed on induction for months and ended up getting bored with it. Why? I was so afraid of losing control...I thought if I added in anything else, I'd go off the deep end. LESSON LEARNED!

    Good Monday Morning!

    I too have learned that hard lesson of not being afraid off adding things..My loss is a little slower this time around...but I am ok with this. This has taught me the art of self discipline..nothing I have ever had in the past. My hubby and I both have come to realize this way of eating is the Key to us feeling so much better within ourselves and with life in general. We are excited about life again and we get out there and Live!!

    I am off again today..don't have to go back to work until tuesday..Hubby works for the postal Service so therfor he is off for Columbus Day. We are planning a long ride just the two of us. Will probally ride and look at the old plantation homes. We like to do this everyonce in awhile. It is such a relaxing ride..beautiful countryside!

    Last night I fixed a dish off of Linda's web site. It was "Dotties Burger scramble Florentine" It was Fantastic..although my hubby does not like Cream Cheese, he was quite pleased with this recipe. Have enough left for today. Need to boil our eggs and make our Jello for the week..so we will be set!

      Good Morning everyone.. I Sandy have made it 4 days cheat free(even after a very busy crazy weekend)..WOO HOOO.. Thanks for the recipe idea Lisa..going to go check it out.. I am going to get stuff for some new recipes since my family liked all the ones I fixed last week.

      I have really been wanting a roast...but they sure are expensive lately

      No aerobics today for me..its my Monday clean house day... I like having this day off....

        Good morning everyone it's 7 am here and I have my workout all done for the day. I try to get it in first thing otherwise my day just tends to take over and before I know it my day is over and I never got around to my workout. I try to do 30 minutes a day on my treadmill plus what ever else is on my workout that day some days its the gym others I work out at home with weights, I just joined a squat and crunch challange so that is pretty much every other day now. I also try to drink 3 or 4 glasses of water while i'm working out so that gets a big chunck of that out of the way for the day. Well I better hit the shower and get a legal breakfast. I'll try to check back in later hope everyone has a great monday.

          Good Morning everyone! Yep it's Monday all right and back to the grind for me as well .......... my grind is at home but it's still a grind ........ child care and a myriad of activities and such with all the kids. This week our weather is rain rain rain all week long .......... UGH. When ever I read everyone's posts about excercise time I find that my routine (timewise) is so opposite everyone else's. I do all my work outs in the evening ........ sometimes the very last thing before I go to bed. It's when my house is quiet and I have time by myself to do it. I'm wondering if there is any reason why thats not a good idea????? I sleep well I feel good and I am losing so it seems fine but you almost always hear about people working out first thing in the day?????? Just curious what anyone knows or thinks on the subject?????

            Hugga is right, moving up the rungs is VITAL...there is no other way without failure, and it is completely safe, hundreds of people on here have done it and are doing it with a lot of

            Lisa, i have today off too...it's nice working for the Gov...love the extra days off...My dh works for UPS and had to go in today...guess he should have applied for the P.O...hee hee..I need to try that recipe.

            Sandy, good for you for 4 days....i knew you could get through the weekend.

            Angel, wow, you have already worked out, that's great, wish i could say the same.

            Heidi, Iv'e been working out at night during this entire WOE and I'm 1 lb from goal...so i'd say it's ok. I'm like you, I don't have time in the morn. up at the crack of dawn to get kids to school and daycare, and me to work by 7...so mornings will never happen....i figure at least i'm working out, could be sluggish on the couch at nights

              Good morning, everyone!

              I had a wonderful weekend and I sure wish I could have slept later this morning. Yikes!

              Scale is up 1.5 lbs, which is all water, because I have not deviated from the plan at all. The body is a weird creature, that's for sure. But I don't let it get to me. After all, I had to ditch a pair of jeans yesterday, because they keep sliding down my butt. And they don't fit any better this morning.

              This week I really want to have a solid exercise routine. Last week was sort of hit and miss, with me just walking or climbing stairs on several occasions because I couldn't or didn't make it to the gym. It didn't feel good. So tonight, hopefully, I'll get to the gym and the jacuzzi again.

                Hi Heidi.. I am a morning person by nature..so if I don't do my exercising in the morning it wouldn't get done.. If I do it at night I don't sleep well. What every works for your body I say go for it!

                  Hi heidi I don't see anything wrong with exercising at night as long as it doesn't interfer with your sleep. I exercise in the morning because I do alot better with set routines. I like to exercise when I first get up I have more energy then and it starts my day off on a positive note. Everyone is different I would just stick with what works well for you.

                    Thanks everyone for your thoughts on excercise ........... I didn't really think time mattered but you just never know ........... It's nice to hear others perspectives on things as well! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day today!

                      The only time I exercise in the a.m. is on Sunday mornings when I do a long run.

                      Other than that, I jog in the late afternoon and/or go to the gym around 6:30 to work out. I seem to have more energy, and I can fall asleep really easily when I do it then.

                        Morning everyone. Just checking in. Visited family yesterday, they had pizza and salad. I had the salad, but oh the pizza was tempting. I'm down a pound this morning. Hope everyone has a good Monday.

                          Morning everyone. I feel good this morning. I actually look forward to Monday--weird I know.

                          I'm enjoying a beautiful morning here with baby crank sleeping in my lap. She's actually much better today and more of her old self after the immunizations. That translates to less stress for me.

                          I'm still the same in the weight department. DH brought home a ginormous box of dates (which happen to be my FAVORITE) and they're just sitting in the kitchen singing my name. I can't wait until they're all gone and I don't have them glaring at me whenever I go into the kitchen. Grrrr.
