    Good Morning Everyone!
    Dr. A was right in that exercise is non-negotiable! I have finally grasped that concept by the horns. I have been making such an effort to walk & go to the gym & it has paid off. I weighed in yesterday & lost 3.8#.Needless to say I am pumped & even more motivated to exercise. No more excuses or "I'll walk tomorrow".
    So stay strong today & get some exercise!!!

    Amen sister, absolutely AMEN! Exercise has changed my whole life. The other morning at the triathlon, we were in the mix of comotion and getting reading to leave our family and go into the restricted area where you rack your bike and lay out your gear and get ready for the swim. Well I decided to take off my tee shirt and put on my tri shirt that's in the siggy below, because I was where there was a flood light...I did so, and zipped it up, and my sister was like in such shock, "wow you're as skinny as Mom was...did you keep her jeans???" She could not believe how triathlon has scuplted my body and made me so lean looking all over...
    I was so surprised by her responce...I mean this is my sister, over weight, smoking like a chimney, came to be supportive and be family for me....this was her staring at me....EXERCISE DID IT BABY, EXERCISE!!!!

      Congratulations Glenda on the weightloss this week.. I don't kill myself exercising but I do it and when I am doing it I keep telling myself my body is getting toned

        WooHoo way to go. If you keep exercising like that you are going to become addicted to it lol. But seriously the more you exercise the more you will want to it becomes a pleasant addiction after awhile keep up the good work.

          Happy tuesday all...I was so sure it was monday since yesterday was canadian Thanksgiving...needless to say i was a bad girl and had the stuffing so back to being strict this morning! And to a good workout tonight! Drink your water all!

            Yes... want to add that trainers said we need to change our workout every 3 weeks because after 3 weeks doing the same thing our muscles 'memorize' what we do and to get 'results' we have to keep changing and doing something different...
            find I get bored doing same thing... have been doing this kinda naturally... now though gonna start wt lifting 3 X's per week and do some fun classes... but still need to keep walking the dog... she's getting leaner too! lol! besides, being outside is a stress reducer all by itself!

              Glenda whoooohooooo on the excercise and the weight loss! Thats just wonderful!

              Hopejoy I'm so glad to read what you wrote about the excercise needing to be changed . It's funny I've never been told that but I often notice after 3 weeks to a month my body doesn't respond asmuch and then when I switch or add something enw it's almost instant I see a change in my body as well! Thanks for confirming what I thought ..........

              guekjian Happy Belated Thanksgiving to you! Just jump back on the bandwagon!!!!!!! You know what to do!

              Jess I wrote in your journal to you today but just curious did you keep her jeans?????

                Good morning everyone. Today is really pretty here, sunny, cool. Woke up and said no matter what, Im smiling the whole day. Hope I can keep that goal when discussing my daughters grades with her, lol. I agree, I was walking when I first started Atkins and then I made excuses not to. I can really tell a difference in my motivation and the way Im dealing with stress. Guess I better get my walking shoes on. Im off to Borders book store to buy "The easy way to quit smoking". Im adamant about this, something somehow will let me feel finally free from those bastards. Im really angry right now, deep inside, with the cigarette makers. I know from doing the research that they intentionally put chemicals in them to create addictions stronger than heroine. Hope they all rot in ****. Watch me win, I swear I will cuz Im better than that. Im gonna do whatever I have to do quit, I dont care how much money it costs me. Then once and for all, those execs at phillips-morris can kiss my , cuz I will have had the last word, lol. Smiling, Smiling, Smiling.

                    Good Morning to all! I'll be checking in here more often now that I'm going back to inducion and feeling back to my old self. I was going through some health issues this last year due to a side effect from lipitor and my low thyroid that was detected a couple of weeks ago. I experienced weight gain and sight loss and was unable to see to drive for a year. Due to a process of elimination of meds and herbs I found the culprit causing my bad eyesight, lipitor. I've quit taking it and I'm feeling back to my old self, my eyesight has returned to normal and my energy has returned after my doctor adjusted my synthroid and the determination of reaching goal once again is the first thing on my mind each day. I just have to say to you Jess, I look up to you and your words of strength, and everyones for that matter. Exercise is huge in this woe. Even though I am disabled with my hips ,( I have to have assistance with putting on socks and shoes) walking works for me and helped me reach goal once before and will get me there again. I am so pumped for this now that I'm feeling healthy once again. Wishing you all a great Atkins day! HUGS!

                      I know how hard quitting is. I quit 7 years ago gee has it realy been that long lol. If you ever need someone to talk to thats been there feel free to email me.
