  • Wed Morning Roll Call - 10/10

    Good morning everyone! It has definitely turned to Fall here in Central Illinois; the high today is only supposed to be 58. But I'm ready for it...after all, it's October!

    9 Days Cheat Free and it feels SOOOOOOOO good. I'm trying not to get on the scale, but I've read some interesting 'takes' on that over the last few days and almost feel like I could deal with a 'blip' and not get depressed about it. I'm still holding off until next Monday, however. THEN, I'm moving on to OWL so that I manage this WOL better.

    Hope everyone has a great day. Today I'm going to:

    1. Be cheat free
    2. Drink lots of water
    3. WALK

    Good Morning!!..Believe or not it feels like Fall down here this morning also!!..It's about darn time!...gets you frisky...makes you want to go out and pay!

      Nine cheat days now that's the number you want to focus on, longevity is what will take you to your goals and dreams. When I first started my first goal was 100 cheat free days, then 200, then 300 and finally being here a whole year....
      I split things up and rewarded myself when I arrived...We climbed a mountain here in Atlanta, Stone Mtn, for our first 100days celebration and felt so empowered....after having sat on the couch and gained so much weight and watched life going by, my daughter and in that first 100 days began to make over our whole way of living.
      Cheat free days are a huge deal, and they are the best numbers to watch...because if you have them happening eventually your body is going to release the weight!

        Don't know if it's fall outside yet...i hope so, i haven't peeked out yet, had to come here first. Cheat free days are the best days. I'm still stuck at 146, still one pound to go to goal, will keep you posted. I have been really slacking on drinking my water...will also up that today too. have a happy hump day.

          Good morning all. Happy Hump Day. These days are flying by. It will be holiday time before we know it. I am in Louisiana and it actually feels fall outside this a.m. I couldn't believe it. It has been hot forever. Today will be day 5 back on plan. I feel good. I always feel shocked at the energy I seem to have when I do this RIGHT. My eyes pop open and I can jump up without groaning and moaning. I have more stamina for my kids which to me is the most important thing. That is my true motivation. I want to be able to run in the yard with them and jump on the trampoline. I am a scale a holic also and I am glad it's being nice to me. I saw 199 again this a.m. ..When I did I said goodbye 200's once and forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I can't ever let myself go back to where I was 4 yrs ago. This is a lifestyle. I have to tell myself that every morning. So anyway. I hope you all have a great day. Our fair starts today. I am glad I'll have energy to walk it this weekend. I am sneaking in a huge bottle of water LOL>

            Well for me it is day 3. I am feeling good and really glad I got started back on this WOE again. I am still having those "man I could really go for a ______ right now", or those "geez, that really sounds good!" moments but I push through it and I know those moments will be gone soon! I am happy with how I am doing so far. I have been drinking 96oz of water a day and my carbs have been around 12- 15 per day. Also my calories have been around 1500. I know we don't focus on the calories but I notcied when I am really in ketosis I forget about eating and only eat like 800 calories a day. Not a good idea I am assuming. Well today I am feeling some deviled eggs so I am going to go make some. Ta Ta for now!

              Good morning, all!

              Last night I had a good workout at the gym. Really worked my abs, and boy can I feel it this morning.

              I'm a bit puzzled by my scale. I've been UP 3.5 lbs now for several days, without a budge. I expect variations, of course, but this is really strange. I'm not expecting TOM. Not eating anything particularly salty. (In fact, I've had asparagus 2 times in the last 4 days). Calories are around 1450. Carbs are no more than usual. Haven't added anything new in several weeks.

              I expect periodic pauses, but right now I should be in the losing phase. Even if it were a pause, I wouldn't be UP that much.

              <shrug> Well, it's interesting. I FEEL good, and my clothes fit. I won't worry about it, though, as I said, it puzzles me.

              So today is a half day at school because of parent conferences, but I have no parent conferences, because I met with all of the parents last week. So I am going to do some reorganizing in my classroom, then go home, drive dh to work, and hit the gym again.

              Life is good. Let's make the most of it!

                Morning my laptop screen went out yesterday, so hoping I can port up to another monitor at work and retrieve my stuff before I have to ship it off for repair. ARGH. If not will need to recreate some stuff. Did I say back to my siggy weight? so thats a wonderful thing scale said 1/2 lb down from that this morning. ITS actually COOL outside this morning, b'out time. That is so nice. Winter is the only time I can be outside here without allergy grief. Have a GREAT day

                  Good morning everyone. Not much to report. I'm up early, and it feels good outside here too. Nice to see some cooler weather, and autumn making it's arrival. Makes exercising outside easier too. Hope you all have a nice Weds.

                      Good Morning STAC'ers ........... As it seems with everyone Fall is definitly in the air here in Vermont! I love this time of year it is my favorite! Apple picking, pumpkin patches, crisp air, beautiful leaves, and just a general sense of well being ............ I just love it!

                      My scale deserved a swift kick in the butt this morning (or I did) I was up 2 lbs .......... no real worries I think I ate something way to salty yesterday and it's showing all over my hands are puffy mt rings are snug ......... so I'm sure it'f fluids!

                      Sheepie it's so good to read you smiling this morning! I am glad the worst of the days are past you and you can begin to look up and embrace your days again!

                      Evermind I love your sense of who you are and where your headed .......... it's almost like nothing really gets to you you just accept it for what it is and move on with your days ......... I try to do that but don't always succeed!

                      Today is my pre-op physical and the first official weigh in at a docs office since before I started back in May ......... I'm kind of looking forward to it which is an odd feeling but I am excited about having my loss officially documented on my medical records!

                      Thats about it for me today .............. I'll be back later for sure!

                        Good Morning!

                        Up .5 today but I'm not worried. Had a jewerly party to go to last night and I went right from work. They had cheese and sausage, veggie tray and string cheese cut up - yes, there were other goodies as well. I had the cheese and sausage slices, some cucumber and string cheese. I think it is the reason for the .5 increase, too much processed food but at least it was legal! Heading into day 10!

                        Evermind - you could just be holding water at this point or gaining muscle as I know you DO your exercise!

                        It's 47 here right now in Wisconsin! I really don't mind too much but what a change from Monday being 85!

                        Back to work - Everyone have a great hump day!!

                          first of all, blazin, i can't BELEIVE you are already practically at goal! where did the time (and pounds) go??? i remember back when you had just started this....great job!!

                          evermind, such a good attitude on the water retention or whatever it is that is making you 3.5 lbs heavier. that is a great outlook, i admire iT!

                          everyone else, looks like a lot of you started this week and are already seeing big results!! that's wonderful!!
