    Good morning STACers! I hope everyone is refreshed and ready to take on a new day.

    I had a major success yesterday. I was home alone all day and I DID NOT CHEAT. That's huge for me...if it's going to happen, it will happen when I'm alone. But I was determined...planned out my food and really didn't even think about eating anything else. I'm also down another .5 lb this morning, so I'm starting the week on a very positive note.

    This week will be brutal at work, but now that I feel in control of my lifestyle (I refuse to say diet), I have a different attitude about work. I used to let it rule me; now I do the best I can and let it go. I'm taking one day at a time with that too, but right now, it feels really good.

    No cheating..when home alone? Great going!! This is my bigget downfall..why is this I wonder?..Just because know one is looking or the fact we can not deal with being by ourselves..alone time should be cherished time...a time for reflection..a time for pampering...but for me..I have to admit..it is a time I battle extreme urges to eat up everything I can get my hands on. I'm really working on this..can not wait until I have this little obstacle conquered.

      Good Morning Everyone! It's bright and early Monday Morning and I am finally getting to check in after a long weekend!

      Huggija thanks for getting us started this morning and High fives to you on your successful day at home!!!!!!!! Thats the hardest time for me as well ......... I do great out and about and don't even struggle when people around me eat things I can't have for the most part ......... but leave me alone with my struggles and it becomes the hardest time for me. So yeah for you!!!!!!!!!!

      Today is going to be a busy run run day for me as I get ready to have my toe surgery tomorrow ........... it's not like it's a HUGE deal but will put me off my feet for three days and then on crutches for a week and then slowly getting back on track for regular walking ........ so I have a good 14-17 days with no real workouts or excercises ....... UGH. My goal during this time is to really focus on my eating and sticking very carefully to plan ........ I can do it!!!!!!!

      OK I gota get the kids up and ready for school and our day!

          GM everyone when I woke up this morning the birds were singing that always starts my day off on pleasant note. You know I am just the opposite I tend to do well at home. I usally have a few things made in advance I can grab quickly if I get to hungry. Where I tend to run into trouble is when I'm out it hard for me to have to say no thanks I can't have that or when we are out longer then I planned and I get hungry its hard not to eat what I know I shouldn't. My weight is down 2 1/2 pounds in the last 2 weeks which is really good for me but according to my body fat machine my body fat is up over 1 % go figure.

            What a cheerful, successful place we have here this morning. Congrats on all the success...Don't you just love it! When you do what you plan and or when you beat the battle over foods, don't you feel great...It's soooo empowering!

              Good Morning All! This is the start of week 2 on induction for me and after my weigh in I am down 10 pounds (from my restart)! I am very excited about this and I hope I can continue this great success!

                Good gads, i'm up 2 pounds...i'll blame in on dreamfields pasta i guess...whaahhhh.....now i'm 2.5 lbs from goal.

                    Good morning, everyone!

                    I woke up this morning to have finally dropped the weight I had gained inexplicably - plus another half pound! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

                    You know what's odd - well, not THAT odd, given what we know about this woe - on Thursday, when I was still carrying most of the extra weight, I tried on a pair of 16 jeans and could fit in them very well.

                    Anyhoo....

                    Yesterday, I went to the gym in the evening and had one of the best workouts in a LOOOOONG time. I did 30 min on the elliptical, then 30 min of weight training on the upper body, and 30 on the lower. I still had time before I had to pick up dh, so I ran a mile. Then I sat in the sauna for 10 min slathered in oil and deep conditioner for my hair,with a big ol' bottle of water and my mp3 player. When I got out, I felt drained, completely relaxed, clean, and sooo soft and smooth! Ahhhhhhhhhh.

                    Today is going to be a good day. I will try a 3-mile run in the afternoon (haven't done that in a week due to hip and bladder infection) and see how that goes. I've got yummy lunches packed for all, which reminds me....

                    .....dh gets a sandwich bag full of fritos for lunch every day. I do the deed. And let me tell you - the smell is soooo delicious! And since I know I can't have any, I just enjoy the smell. It's actually just fine! I get to sniff and appreciate, and really don't have any need to taste. It's nice when you get to that point.

                    Do 1 nice thing for a complete stranger today.

                      Good morning, all. Yes indeed this board is full of positive vibes! But then, it usually is. I need positive vibes. Boy do I ever! I have let everything get out of control recently. First, it was unavoidable circumstances (mom+hospital=everything else on back burner). But then I started using little avoidable circumstances until finally it was "I just don't wanna." But I'm "nipping it in the bud"...all apologies to Barney.

                      Yep, today I kick all those excuses to the curb and refocus on why I'm wanting to "do" Atkins, to adopt this woe/wol. To feel better. To not feel so tired all the time. To feel confident. To feel empowered. To feel good not only about myself, but my life.

                      So thanks for all the uplifting and energy. I need it. I'm so drug out and I need the kind of energy you can't get from food. And I need to vow to report to the roll call thread everyday, without fail, no matter what my food or exercise is or was. Ah-ha...a personal challenge. To never miss a day of checking in with the roll call!!!

                        You've been thru the wringer. You shouldered a lot of new burdens during your mom's hospital stay, and the inability to find time to exercise. It's actually natural that when the crisis passed, you sort of fell apart.

                        But now that you recognize it, and are stepping up to the plate to get back on the wagon, you do, indeed, have NO EXCUSES! We're with you every single step of the way, not to worry.

                          as for me, i was out of ;town all weekend and heading out of town this weekend as well, but managed to drop a pound! very excited the scales are moving again after a 2 month stall. fit into size 32 true religion jeans with no muffin top, let me tell you i have been trying on these jeans for a YEAR!! also got comfortably into some size 10's at gap...but afraid to buy in case the weight loss is fleeting or water. if still at this weight next month, shopping spree!!!
