  • Ok - Bad Day

Nope didn't cheat at all - just didn't eat nearly enough. Breakfast was good (2 eggs and sausage)

Lunch - well that got lost somewhere I think

Made dinner (the bacon cheese quiche thing on the recipe section) - ate 2 pieces (and so did the kids!) but not until a lot later than I wanted to.

Drank about 3 diet cokes w/splenda, 2 coffees, a fuze drink and 1 bottle of water.

We had a mini-emergency with goats that were being boarded here and it took up all of my evening. I was making dinner when the owner came over to take a look - and luckily my friend called me and while talking to her I asked if she was busy and for her to come over and take a look at the goats. Pink Eye! So since this is very contagious - but treatable - we are all sterilized, I had to remove my sheep from one paddock to another so they don't get it and even cut a fence opening for the cattle and my female sheep so I can keep them away from the area where the goats were.

I was PLANNING a quiet dinner with the kids and sitting back and relaxing!

The goats need to be moved tomorrow. I have a HUGE county wide farm tour scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.... and I am super stressed (and I thought I was caught up)

    Re: Ok - Bad Day

Well, it could have been worse. Try to prepare some small snacky things for tomorrow to have in plastic baggies or tupperware containers you can just grab and run with.

The danger, of course, is that you will go into starvation mode, which is unlikely unless you undereat for at least a week.

And if you aren't remembering to eat, you probably aren't going to have any sudden cravings.

    Just eat more tomorrow!

Hang in there - happens to me quite frequently.

We all have bad days, but just keep going

One suggestion, up your water intake. You mentioned only one bottle of water. Remember we're supposed to drink 64oz of water and then 8oz for every 25lbs that you want to lose.

Bad days can be considered a learning experience. Take what you learned and improve your plan so that you won't be caught off-guard again. Good work on not cheating even tho I'm sure your stress level was elevated.

          Re: Ok - Bad Day

Oh it was worse today - water intake WAY up there because I was talking so much during the farm tour today. Tomorrow will be the same thing. Had burgers for dinner (no bun or anything like that - and I avoided the mac&cheese I made and a bunch of other stuff).... then I baked cookies because I sold out of the ones I made before... didn't even lick the spoon.

I grabbed some cheese sticks on my potty breaks (which I think were 2 all day) and I did at least eat a few veggies.

I wish I had grabbed the veggie tray at the store today to snack on as I ran around but I had other things I had to get.

1 more day and I can go back to a somewhat normal life and eating habit! Luckily I do have a few grab and go stuff tomorrow and I'll just make myself a huge salad tomorrow night after this tour is over. It's a blast and we love the fact that people love our place - but MAN is it a lot of work (we don't have any hired employees to help out - just my husband, myself and 2 kids).

                Re: Ok - Bad Day

You know I did just fine yesterday - I had time to grab my snack type foods and eat enough to make it through (again didn't eat any of the 100 cookies I made!)

So thank goodness this board is here to make me feel accountable to someone other than myself.

This morning started off really well with a bowl of flax meal "almost oatmeal" I guess you could call it.
