    Good morning STACers....Just waiting for my trip to the airport, so I thought I'd just jump on and wish everybody a great weekend...It's gonna be a great day....Get out side and exercise, take a walk, go to a fall festival...It's gonna be a great day!
    Keep in mind, the one big thing in your life, and stay with it...Keep the new habits rolling and don't get stuck without food! Keep your hunger in check by feeding yourself and don't get stuck, hungry...It's all good!

    Good morning all. How exciting Outback Jess! Maybe you could try to convert a few more of us Aussies to the Atkins way of life while you are over here. Australia is also fast becoming an overweight nation - we need your inspiration!

    I had to work today supervising a 4 hour exam. Usually when I have to do this I am so ravenous by the end, but today was different. This has been the first time since I re-started Atkins and I was not hungy one bit. In fact I even delayed lunch another hour after finishing. You have to love ketosis - so convenient.

      Good Morning Everyone.. Well I survived one day of my weekend food wise.. WAS NOT EASY... Oh my gosh we had so many baked desserts last night at work.....But I had a small sugar free jello.

      Now today I gotta fix something to take to my nieces birthday party cause there will be nothing there for me to eat but a burger...

      This is truly a hard hard weekend.. I sure hope I am rewarded on Tuesday's weigh in...

        Good Morning Folks,

        I had a great week... now the toughest part .. the weekend . I really need to stay focused and motivated so I dont end up craving (and eating) the sweets I am so used to having on the weekends.

        My Fiancee and I made plans to get out and stay busy today. If the weather clears; perhaps a hike.

          Good morning everyone ............ I'm being bad again and making my way to my computer! LOL A girl can only stay on the couch so long ya know????

          I had my post op appontment and found out my recovery is going to be a bit longer then I hoped. I am not even getting off my crutches till the 30th and then a slow process of getting back to "normal" It was a bit sobering to hear what could have been though as my doc didn't go overboard in explaining things before hand. He had told me they would be sending the growth to pathology and it was a possibility it was cancer but he didn't tell me he was 75% sure it was and expecting to have very bad news for me. The good news is it wasn't, but it was a severe infection that went through all the layers of my toe and into the bone. So recovery will be a bit longer then I had realised. But had it been bone cancer I would have been looking at amputation and a life expectancy of about 6 months ............ Kind of puts it all in perspective huh????? Life is good treasure every moment and get healthy so you can enjoy what you have!!!!!!!!!!

            Happy Saturday everyone!

            Jess--enjoy some movies and don't look at your watch during that long flight. I know you'll have an incredible time.

            yoyo--yes, it's so nice not being hungry (and therefore not feeling deprived!) all the time. that's one of the best things about this woe in my opinion. keep it going!

            sandy--congrats on your resistance last night at work. i know it will be hard at the party but YOU CAN DO IT. you'll feel so good afterwards and it's another mountain climbed!

            grniidgrl--yes, weekends are hard, but i know you're determined to stay on track, as we all are. weekends are a bit hard for me too, especially if my dh is out running around at meal time. but we can and will do it!

            heidi--what a blessing to know that you don't have bone cancer! a longer recovery time is NOTHING (although disappointing from an exercise point of view) comparatively. i'm glad you got such good news.

            As for me, I'm still cheat free. No movement on the scales again today but it hasn't bothered me. I wore a suit to work yesterday that actually FIT...no snugness, so I know I'm making real progress. The weight will come...patience is a virtue! I'm anxiously awaiting my yoga dvd, but it hasn't even shipped yet (and said it was in stock when i ordered...what's the hold up??). I have some work to do outside today; need to start getting my gardens cleaned up. DH is going to get tickets for BB King a little later. We've become great Blues fans over the past 5 years.

              Morning all. I got some bad news last night from hubby's sister. She was expecting in April and yesterday was her first appointment. The doctor couldn't find a heartbeat so they sent her to another doctor for an ultrasound.

              She was already spotting so I'm sure they knew but they needed to confirm it. The ultrasound showed that the baby was not viable and that she was having a miscarriage.

              The baby was supposed to be 11 weeks and only measured 9. It also only developed one arm. That poor soul.

              Needless to say my SIL is an emotional wreck. She has two small boys and this pregnancy was a long time in the waiting--she's been trying for some time for a third.

              So now she's sitting at home playing the waiting game because she can't afford a d&c (just the dr. fee is $3,000 and they have no insurance). I'm so sad for her.

              Just keep her in your thoughts that things go quickly for her and she can begin the healing process.

                Good morning, food is in check...I will not go hungry...hee hee....i have lost 2 of the pounds gained, so now i'm 2.5 from goal..yippee

                  Good morning, everyone!

                  I'm up early,'cause I have class at 8:30 and I want to do yoga before I leave.

                  After class, dh is picking me up and we're going down to Coronado Island for the day. It's got walking and bike trails for me to go on, and we're going to have lunch and just browse the galleries unless Meena sends me that $10,000 she owes me. <grin>

                  Yesterday afternoon after we came home I finally cleaned out the car (so much for my "grow mold for antibiotics experiment") and then I went for a 2 mile run. That was all I could do, but it was good. And it was also good enough. Came home, made dinner, and cuddled with dh for the evening.

                  Heidi - never thought I'd be really happy for you that you had a deep and intense infection in that toe. Congrats!

                  Yoyo - I think that's the best part of ketosis. I really do.

                  Sandy - one hour at a time. Make sure you take a couple of things you can eat! You're doing GREAT!

                  Grnid - so make yourself some legal treat to have on weekends only, silly! There are some good choices out there.......Enjoy your hike if the weather is good.

                  Hugg - seems to me that amazon in particular is getting slower and slower, especially the used venders there. sheesh! My dh is a BIG blues fan, too. (Robert Johnson to Cream to Stevie Ray....) He'll be jealous that you're getting tickets.

                  Meena - oh, that's just awful. I had six miscarriages, and now I have four kids. It's heartbreaking. The pain in your heart is soooo intense. Please tell her that she's in my thoughts (yes, dear, a complete and total stranger is thinking of you). The pain gets better in time. But this limbo period is really awful, just waiting.....

                  Blazing - you go girl!

                  So, now that Jess is gone, who wants to go and put frogs in her bed or play some other tricks on her for when she gets home?

                          Ah Meena, that is a rough one for your SIL...Poor thing...


                          As for me, preparing to go to an exposition for work tomorrow (yuck I know working on sunday) but such is life...I have been off the wagon for the past few days due to NO PLANNING...I am not proud of myself, but I am getting back on today. Have to pack food for tomorrow since I will be alone at the stand from 10 to 5pm so no lunch break.

                              Checking in quickly before i head out for the day. i have been staying on and it's definitely working. Last night i tried on a dress i love and it's too big i have only worn it twice. i think i am gonna try to pull it off tonight and then i think i may have to let it go forever. Oh and most of my pants are getting too big too. Wonderful problem to have...cept when you really cannot affor it so for my b-day and for xmas i am asking for clothes...and a camera Ok TTFN folks!
