I Have A Job Interview - Nervous...

Please send me some good energy and positive thoughts. I have a job interview to go to in about one hour and I am starting to get very nervous. I really would like to get this job. I would be working with women and children of domestic and sexual abuse. It is my dream to work with families that have been abused. As some of you know from past posts, I am a domestic violence survivor. I was abused physically, sexually, mentally and emotionally. I know first hand the devistation it causes to families. I feel this position is my purpose.

First of all, thank you to all if the well wishers. I felt the energy and have to say it was a very good interview. I felt at ease and was suprisingly calm and articulate. I felt that I spoke well and as always got them laughing. It's so frustrating because I cannot tell you how many times I have been told, you were one of our two favorites and we have decided to go with the other favorite because they knew a little more about so and so then you did... I am always the top 2... But I feel good about it. I gave it my best and I explained how I would be honored to work for an agency that I have so much faith in. I would love to be part of the team supporting victims of violence. We will see what the outcome is in about 3-4 weeks. They will ask two people back for a 2nd interview and when they choose "the one" they will begin a very thorough background check.

Keep your fingers crossed for me! And again, thanks for the support.

Well.... I just got a call... It was explained to me during the interview that they would complete the first round of interviews on Friday and call two of the best next week for a 2nd interview... Well I just got a call and they are requesting me to come back tomorrow for my 2nd interview!!!! WooHoo

I'm sorry I wasn't hear earlier to wish you well BEFORE the interview, but obviously, you did GREAT. I'm so glad you're getting called back for the 2nd one...we'll all be here waiting to hear more.
