    Good morning all. So yesterday I was freaking out about eating an Atkins bar after doing nearly 3 weeks of a clean induction. For the last week and half the scale has not been working in my favour, yet when I stepped on it this morning I had dropped 2 pounds. I know this is a fluke, but has this ever happened to anyone else when they have been a bit more careless with their food choices and it worked in their favour? Could somebody please explain this.

    Yes it happens to me sometimes...which is really frustrating..

    Good Saturday morning..Its raining AGAIN and my sil is having an outdoor wedding this afternoon.. I am fixing 10 dozen deviled eggs for it.

    Last night at my daughters Birthday party we had Pizza..I had a Roasted Chicken from Sam's club...couple others ate it too it was really good.. I had Salad.. and I did NOT touch the Ice Cream Cake which I really wanted too.. I have a whole cake still sitting in the Freezer cause 8 family members that said they were coming(not to me) didn't.. I had to send 3 whole Pizza's home with other... People are so not mannered now adays.. They don't respond to invites... Like they don't know what RSVP means.. and I have noticed people don't send Thank You notes either..especially from wedding gifts...

    So today we are having Barbecue..Hubby is saving me some without sauce.. I have a salad to take and there will be Deviled eggs that I can eat.. That is all..

    Yesterday I ended up eating a hamburger bun ...and you know what..today I have a headache.. Hmm I have noticed that my headaches have gotten better...and now I have one..

      Hello hello !

      Not sure what's on the adgenda today, it's pouring out and I dont think it's supposed to let up anytime soon. I am due to pick up my new car, however it takes a bit of the excitement out of it when it's raining

      I bought a new scale last night.. I made DH get on the old one and the new one to see if he weighed the same- he didnt. So it looks like I'll be gaining a couple pounds today! LOL We'll see. It's only 2lbs difference but..... 2lbs!

      Yo-Yo - sometimes I think adding more calories or a new food will jump start your metabolism.. especially after eating the same ole stuff for 3 weeks. Not an expert but I think that is why if you stall out on induction they suggest hopping up a rung to add more veggies to see if you can get things going again.

      Sandy - I hope the weather clears for this afternoon! Do they have a plan B in case the rain doesnt stop? Make sure you eat before you go as well today.. have a substantial snack or light meal. That will help with any temptations.

      Think I am going to start my pilates DVD today.. too wet and cold to walk outside. Will check in later .. Have a wonderful day everyone!!!

        I only have a minute I have to get out of the door by 740 pennys is having a 60% off all thier coats sale and I desperatly need a new one. The sale is only good for 2hours so I better get a moveon it lol. The weather is still rainy and yucky here to. I am going to try to workout harder today when I get back. I hope everyone has a great saturday.

            good morning, I'm claiming my goal of 146.5 today although i weighed in at 145.8, that must have happened cuz i claimed goal...ha ha...been here for quite some time now and i have been able to eat up to 90 w/ out gaining...i will continue to add 5 a week now to see what happens, hopefully my CCLL will be a little higher since i exercize. for those of you that are not there yet, i just want to say that you have a treat in store for you, cuz there is so much more of a variety that you can eat. hugs, Michelle.

              Morning everyone! So many early birds for a Saturday!

              I had success at the rehearsal dinner last night. I had a salad, avoided the lasagna, took a sub sandwich and took the innards out (lettuce, cheese, ham, salami). So it wasn't so bad after all! The lasagna didn't really tempt me, nor did the desserts. Scale is still stalled; guess I need to move on to another rung and get the yoga dvd fired up. Still...7 gone is 7 gone!

              I'm very excited about the wedding today. My niece cried last night during the rehearsal; I know I'll be taking kleenex cuz I ALWAYS cry at weddings.

              Here's my pledge today:
              1. Get the DVD going
              2. Be conscious of my water intake; always a challenge when I'm either not at home or at work.
              3. Stay focused
              4. Stay positive

                Blazin!! Congratulations on your success!! You have done a fantastic job and give us all something to look forward to!!


                Just a quick update .. the new scale was very kind to me today .. instead of it showing 2 pounds more than my old scale like it did last night.. it showed 3.5 pounds less!! Counting it as a 1.5 drop. I finally made it below 200 for the first time in many many months!! There IS hope! LOL

                  Hi everyone!
                  It is a rainy day here and I don't have make plans today. Probably just grocery shopping and relaxing. (well as much relaxing I can do with a toddler and a 6 year old!) The scale was up 2 pounds and I am not really sure why but I am notworried about it. I know that happens from time to time. I think I am going to move up to the veggie rung. Usually I stay on extended induction but I would like to have a little more variety in my menu. I have been averageing 10-15 carbs a day so I think I will go up to 15 to 20 carbs and see where that gets me. I also just bought a yoga DVD online and I should have it by wednesday. I am excited to give it a try. Well that's about it! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

                    One thing to remember just because you dont see it on the scale you are still loosing those inches and that is always good too. stay encouraged and keep up the good work

                      sandy hang in there at the wedding, eat FIRST and then snack on the eggs/bbq.

                      everyone else, good morning!! i have a mountiain bike date this morning at 8am, first date i have ever had in the morning!! he is goign to show me the gears, etc, and then take me on an easy ride. kind of hard to try and look cute sweating on a bike with a helmet!!! he is also taking me to dinner tonight, so i will have to redeem myself then.

                      feeling SO yucky because of TOM, cna't wait to drop the extra 3-5 pounds of water wt i gain the weekend prior to TOM.

                          Hello!

                          Well, things are STARTING to get back to normal. The air is still smokey, but we unpacked the car and put away our art and oriental rugs and photo albums,etc, so home looks homey again. More and more stores are open, so people are out and about (please, God, make my gym be open!). The fires are about 40-50% contained, and none are moving in our direction at this point (YAAAAAY!) or in Hopejoy's direction.

                          As for me, I'm feeling a bit more energy this morning, and I have some schoolwork to do, so that's good. I'm getting my nails done later (FINALLY!) and my daughter and I have a date tomorrow to get our hair done together, (color, cut, style) which will be a treat we definately deserve. Gotta plan nice things for onesself after a week of trauma.

                          The scale is still up, but not as much up. I think my body is really hovering at this weight because I have spent a lot of time at it in the past, and that's just the way things are. I'm still losing inches, I can feel that, and I have NO IDEA when TOM is coming (lately it's been about every 6-7 weeks, for some reason?) but that may account for a few oz.

                          My goal for today is to maybe get a little exercise in (I will do a yoga tape inside, where I know it's cleaner) and try to up my veggies. And drink more. Been lax there, too. Nothing huge, nothing unrealistic. Nothing unkind to myself.

                            Good Morning!
                            It is smokier today than yesterday, not sure why though... wish it would rain here... just a little to clean the air.
                            slept in a little which is good. finally got 8 hrs sleep.
                            everything hurts, so still too scared to get on the scale... maybe tomorrow. Taking my vitamins, drinking lots, and hopefully might get to exersize????? I can't believe the smoke is worse. I just turned on the TV to see the news, there isn't any. So, I am watching 'The Scarlet Letter'.
                            Gonna clean the house inside today... want to take a drive to see if our church is still there. Might go over to the high school to see what their need is for volunteers. It's still an evacuation center. No school on Monday I heard.
                            Evermind, that sounds like a good idea to get your hair done next week. I might do that too.

                              It has stopped raining and the sun is trying to peek out.. NOPE no plan B..they had a couple of tents to use but it wasn't enough.. Its at a Farm so its going to be really muddy.. I am going to wear my crocs and NOT ruin my tennis shoes..

                              I almost cheated today.. My daughter and I went to Subway after lunch..and I said Oh well I ought to have bread since I cheated yesterday.. Then I said to myself.. Remember your headache you have...that is what it came from that bread from yesterday... Then I said if I cheat with lunch then I KNOW I will cheat with dinner... So I was good and got a Salad cause I didn't want to have to be in the bathroom all evening either
