    Well I have never started a roll call and not really sure if I can so here goes nothing. (sorry if I am not suppose to start this!)

    It is going to be a beautiful day here in Maine. The rain is finally gone and the sun is shining! Not many plans for today. Church, take my son to a halloween party, clean the house a bit, pick my son up from the halloween party! (I think they would frown on me leaving him there!) and that is about it. Should be an easy day. I am feeling great and can't wait for my yoga DVD to come! Well I hope everyone has a Super Sunday!

    Good morning, Starr (and everyone else)!

    Of course, you can start the thread! Anyone can - it's great seeing others' stories, motvations, etc. Good for you for taking the initiative!
    I've been trying to clean my house this weekend so I can focus on getting back on this WOE. But I failed miserably yesterday - kept taking care of liitle things instead of the whole mess, then started messing around with my fishing equipment, and THEN my brother called and said, "Let's go fishing!"

    SO! I still have the house to clean, dishes to do, laundry to do, Packer game to watch while doing things like folding laundry, and get things ready for work tomorrow. Oh, and possibly head to another brother's house to help stack wood... LOTS of wood.

    So much for a Day of Rest... LOL!

    More than anything I need to figure out what I'm going to eat this week and get stuff ready. It's going to be very simple stuff, just some meat of some kind and some veggies. But if I write it down ahead of time, I'll make the food ahead of time and have it ready for the next day. That'll be one of my main priorities today.

    Anywho, got to get off this machine and race through this house and get things done... Ready, Get Set...GO!!!

      GM star I think its great your started the roll call post. I am finaly up early this morning. I had really left my sleep schedule get all turned around. It's still cool and rainy here but I plan on trying to get my workout in this morning and catching up on some house work and some cooking. I hope everyone has a great sunday I'll try to check back in later today.

        Good morning everyone! Of course you can start the rollcall! I'm glad you did!

        My parents stopped in yesterday on their way driving from Maine to Florida, so we spent the past few days cleaning and cleaning. More like boxing things up and moving them out of the way! Anyway, we made some nice progress. I hope we can keep it this way.

        While we were cleaning up, I found my "cookbook" from 2003 when I did Atkins! Now I have two. I use flexible plastic 3-ring notebooks and those plastic page protectors. Then I print and save whatever low carb recipes I find online that I like. The 2003 book has a lot of holiday recipes and cheesecake recipes. I haven't even made a cheesecake yet this time. Can't wait to read through there and make some new things. Maybe I'll pull out the pages and combine them into one big customized low carb cookbook. Yea!

        My other big thing...big to me at least. Everyday for the past week, I've taken a shower and only found a small wad of hair in the drain. This is huge to me. My hair has stopped falling out!! For months, I've had to pull the hair out of the drain twice during my shower or the water wouldn't go down. This happened last time I did Atkins too, but it's so upsetting when it seems like it'll never end. Soon it will be winter...the perfect time for thicker hair again!

          Good morning everyone!

          Good news today...another 1.5 loss! And today I start my exercise program. My plan is 3 days a week, yoga; 3 other days a week, get on the elliptical. So I'm feeling very focused and positive today. IT'S ALL GOOD.

          My niece's wedding yesterday was magical. The weather was awful on Friday; rainy and cold. Early yesterday morning it was cloudy and overcast, but by 10:30 (the wedding was at 11), it was bright and sunny. Their ceremony was very, very nice...I cried from the moment she walked up the aisle. (I'm such a sentimental old fool!) And there were no real food temptations for me except for the cake, which I didn't want.

          Today I'm going to fix the Asian Pork recipe from Linda's Low Carb site. Sounds good and since it's using the crockpot, it's super easy!

            Hug congrats on your weight loss its so great when the scale moves isn't it

            sheepie I do something really similar I buy photo albums and get extra pages then i just cut out or print out recipies and put them in. I even bought dividers so I could break them up into sections just like a real cookbook lol. Once i try a recipie i write on it how we like it if i would change anything if we hated it i just take it out and throw it away. When I want to cook I can just take the photo page out and don't have to worry about getting anything on it and when I done right back in the photo album it goes. I made some for other stuff like christmas decorating ideas stuff like that also.

                Huggija, glad your wedding went well! I cry at wedding too.

                Well, just got up, still smelling smoke, but hoping it'll be better today. I rode my stationary bike yesterday. And stayed legal despite terrible carb cravings. Went to Cost co and bought food, and to einstein bro bakery and bought bagels for ds... and coffee for us... those bagels are looking so good! but I'm not eating them!

                My plans are to go to church also and then work on the house... I found out the church is fine... it's right at the base of Palomar Mt which was an inferno, so it's pretty much a miracle that that area is okay... (Pauma valley)

                  I HATE HALLOWEEN!!

                  lol, there--I got that off my chest. Why do we have to have ginourmous bowls full of candy EVERYWHERE!!

                  We went yesterday to buy costumes, the two boys are going to be ninjas and my daughter is going as Cinderella (the baby will be a baby for Halloween, lol).

                  I hate the idea that there will be so much CHOCOLATE around the house. I normally have nothing sweet to tempt me so this is tough.

                    Well, here I am, scale still up, nothing budging. <sigh> The scale is SOOOO dumb! I mean, we all know I'm eating enough calories to be causing at LEAST a 2 lb weight loss a week. Luckily, everything fits better, so I know more than that idiot scale does. <grin>

                    Still smokey here. Still can't work out, which I must say is driving me absolutely batty. Supposedly tomorrow it will be better. Uhuh. We'll see.

                    Today I'm getting my hair colored, cut, styled. Woo hoo! I love having people play with my hair every 4 weeks. It just feels so gooood.

                    About Halloween: First thing is, never buy candy you actually like. I get things like smarties and baby ruths, both of which make me want to puke. Second thing is, never have small children. I can say this now that mine are mostly grown. Without small children, you don't have that whole costume/candy thing in the house except for what you bring home to hand out. Third thing, and this is really important: buy your candy on Halloween night. And fourth, of course, when your kids bring home candy, tell them to hide it from you. Or, throw it out and make them eat smarties and baby ruths. <grin>

                    I need to start a thread for the yoga club. Try to do it in a bit.

                      There is one problem with that evermind......I've never met a candy I didn't like!!! They all make me drool like a rabid hound. I also promised the kids that we'd make popcorn balls and caramel apples---:::groan:::

                      Who came up with the sick twisted idea of Halloween anyway!?! lol

                        Hello I am here . I did not get up early . I slept in until 10 am. I sure wish I had everyone elses energy. I have a low thyroid, borderline diabetes and work second shift . Thats my excuse and I am sticking to it LOL.

                        Yesterday I was bad. My husband and I were watching the World Series and we got cravings for something illegal. I had an Atkins Cornbread mix from our previous Diet. So instead of Nachos I made the corn bread . I added a can of diced green chilis and we each had a piece. Not legal on induction but better thanpizza or Nachos.
                        I seem to be struggling to stay on thediet. More so than the first time. I feel like I can't get motivated I should have lost more than 20 pounds by now and its only 16 so far. I have no desire to exersize. I have had the yoga DVDs for 5 days and still haven't opened the package. What is wrong with me? How can I get motivated to succeed.

                          Mamagoose, 16 lbs is nothing to sneeze at! That's great!
                          Cruise around some of the journals of some of the successful people here and try and do what they do... like Mitzi's! omgosh! she posted some amazing pics in there but you have to go back a bit to see them! Hang in there! I can relate, but you have to decide what's more important to you... a minute on the lips forever on the hips! lol!

                            morning yall!!

                            my date last night went well in the beginning but downhill from there. will NOT be seeing him again.

                            the good news is, date planned with a different guy tomorrow night!

                            i am back to my normal wt even though TOM due to arrive tomorrow, so maybe my stress from the date last night caused me to drop some LB's!!

                            going to try to make some kind of crockpot roast today as well, because i have a roast that has been in the freezer FOREVER and need to get rid of some freezer food. maybe i will try the asian roast from linda's site as well.

                            also, MY HAIR FELL OUT TOO the first time I did Atkins. This go around, haven't noticed any hair loss.

                              momma I get like that some days to. I have hypothyroidism so I know how tired and wiped out you can feel. Thats why I try hard to get my workout in early even if I feel tired. You know that your thyroid problem can make it harder for you to lose weight. It has for me but its not impossible. You have lost 16 pounds that a great accomplishment. Just try to take it one day at a time do the best you can and you will succeed. The only way you can lose is if you quit trying. Hope its ok to do this but here it goes I found this great lc site that has tons of recipies try looking around here for things that might help you replace foods you tend to crave. They have a recipie for making fake dorritios that is legal for my stage I planning on trying. Just hang in there I think you are doing better then you realize.
