Well after months and months of just not doing it and being unhappy at work, I've got back on the wagon and have stayed on for a week! I've lost 7 pounds so far! I'm trying to change jobs too, and find a good one to progress in my career rather than sit on a shelf gathering dust so to speak!
I bought my yearly gym pass and have started getting in there and being active! my goal is 3 gym/pool sessions per week on monday, thursday, and saturday nights, and walking with the dog on the other nights after school in the evening.
I've bought a new waterbottle and am keeping up with the water intake and slowly pushing towards 120 oz per day. Man it seems like alot of water right now! I'm at the 80-90 oz level right now, and adding more oz every day!
I got my vitamins going, and am planning my menu out for the week ahead so i can be totally prepared. I know form my last efforts where I started to fall off the if I didn't have my food planned and something unexpected happened I would get screwed up! No more trip ups!
I got tired of feeling like crap and being sleepy sall the time and being really uncomfortable after I ate with having my waistband dig into me that enough was enough! I wasn't going to buy bigger pants to accomodate eating! That's crazy talk! I'm going to exercise and eat properly and burn it off.
I discovered that even on maintenance I just don't have alot of tolerance for high levels of carbs, and there's something about bread that really throws my system for a loop - the stuff causes me to bloat and baloon upwards on the scale like there's no tomorrow. Maybe I've developed an allergy to something in bread...ie flour? I've felt so much better this week not eating any bread, and just focussing on my meats and veggies and watching the ration of fats, proteins and carbs. It's so nice to be able to adhere to a system that I'm familiar with and I know it works for me since my first time around I had lost 40 pounds on it!
I have also discovered that major stressful things in my life are very good at derailing me if I don't take control and pretty much allow the stressors to overwhelm me. No more of that now! It's a fight for my very life, cuz dammit it's mine! and living free of carbs feels so much better!
So today's agenda: get food ready for next week; exercise; do my homework for school; get ready for another job interview tomorrow; pray that the one job I interviewed for on friday gives me offer papers to sign! write a speech to present on tuesday night at Toastmasters!; Get the child to clean up his room; Enjoy the sunshine outside - the days are so short with winter coming! reward myself with watching a show if I get everything else done!
Whew seems like alot, but my energy levels are starting to rise!
